You are a young researcher wandering the Hoenn region. Your goal is to uncover as much information about the diverse region as possible. This includes the Weather Institute, where you study Castform and Sawsbuck to better understand the climate. It includes Mt. Chimney, where you study Torkoal, Magmar, and volcanic activity. This includes infiltrating Honchkrow hideouts to study Pokémon gangs, and it includes watching the likes of Curtis and Yancy perform in Pokémon contests. You even travel to the Battle Frontier, where you take a particular interest in Brandon and his Regi trio. Most of all, you study the Mega evolution phenomenon, and the Pokémon affected by it.
This is the unofficial Pokémon Mega Power expansion. The cards are meant to be balanced in the HGSS era, but as I am very new to this, I will make lots of mistakes. Any input or calling mistakes out will be very appreciated, as I want everything to be perfect before I start making cards. Also, I will probably put a link to the art I plan to use for each card, but if you have made any and would like to provide permission, or know of anyone who would like to provide art, that would be wonderful. The set is by no means complete, and I will be updating it soon.
UPDATE 1:
  • The card list has been refined and art has been found for every Pokémon in the set.
  • Overly large and cumbersome art has been removed from Deerling and Ponyta; finished cards will be back once a better solution has been found.
  • No new spoilers yet, but cards have been in development and the ideas are flowing.

ex Pokémon function exactly as they did in the original EX era of Pokémon. They are evolved into and give up 2 prizes when KO'd.
Mega Pokémon don't have a prize cost tied to them, so they can be ex's or normal Pokémon. However, you can only ever have 1 Mega Pokémon in a deck.
Baby Pokémon function as they did in the Neo era, they evolve into their Basic form, and they have a chance to take no damage when they are attacked.

Absolutely loving this, can't wait to see the other cards. I especially like M Scizor ex's Heavy Claws attack, it could make for a cool Grass/Metal deck where you attach one energy or the other depending on what deck you're playing against.

Thanks, I really appreciate the positive feedback! The cards won't come rolling in for a while, because I have to find art and balance them, but they are coming. :)
