Machamp GL, worth playing?

So now that the new Drifblim UD seams to be really popular as a mewtwo counter and tanking deck counter. For it's ability to "take away" the opponents defending pokemon back to his/her deck. And i have always wanted to try machamp GL because it can do the same thing, every turn. Would it be worth playing as a tanking deck counter? Like steelix, tyranitar, and others. Or is it just to slow. I't would take 3 turns in almost every deck to get machamp ready, and it needs fighting energy (2). So it might not be suitable for many decks out there.
So since drifblim has good reputation for the "take away" attack why don't machamp gl have the same reputation? what i know it has never even been played competitive. So what do you people think? Is it worth playing?

The thing is, drifblim can be easily fit into luxchomp, because it only needs collorless energy. Machamp might be better if there was a good fighting SP deck. Also, machamp can't use it's attack if they don't have a bench.

Would it be worth playing it in a stage 2 (or 1) fighting type deck? Or fighting and some other type.

IDK, I still think drifblim would be better in that case since it takes one less energy.

Drifblim is infinitely better because it can be teched into literally any deck, and its attack still works even if your opponent does not have any benched pokemon. That means if they have nothing on their bench (through hunter or whatever), it either makes you victor or forces a sudden death.

Yeah thats what i thought too. But drifblim is shuffled in to the owners deck too while machamp can use it's attack for as long as i want (or until it get's k.o ed).

Yes, but Machamp GL is one-shotted by Machamp SF, requires the use of fighting energy to work, and gets walled by Mewtwo. Drifblim has none of these handicaps, therefore making it a much better card. I don't think Drifblim will see too much play, but it's definitely a card you need to watch out for.

Drifblim is much faster. You only need a DCE+any Energy, and even though its a stage-1 you aren't going to be attacking with Machamp the turn it comes into play. Plus, look at Machamp's weakness. Your opponent could just send up Uxie, Level Up, DCE, and KO Machamp (depending on the deck). Besides, the purpose of Drifblim is mainly as a Mewtwo counter, not for the shuffle into deck.

EDIT: Don't forget about Drifblim's resistance and free retreat.

Here is the actual reason that no one else realizes. You cant use machamp's attack if they dont have any benched pokemon.
