TCG One Log In Issue

So, from what I read in the news story, to use TCG One, we could use our Pokébeach account since it is fully integrated. But when I went to log in on TCG One, I used my Pokébeach Username and Password and it didn't work. I had to make a new account in TCG One with the same username and password.
Is this normal?
