Leaferade problems....

Anyone know of any way that Leaferade can get around Steelix Prime. Only thing i've come up with so far is Blaziken FB, but then i'd have to tech in a fire nrg and that might get clunky.....

uhmm if your running leaferade you must have rainbow energies so it wont get clunky... If im playing steelix id rather use the rainbow on blaziken and maybe ohko steelix if he doesnt have enough sp metals attached

@Bubbletea Yeah....good call i guess. I guess i just don't like the idea of spending 6 bucks on Blaziken FB.
@idrumprettywell.....there's no such thing as a DCE tech....Steelix resists Drifblim, and take away would take too long to charge up in a deck which one of it's strong points is 1 energy attack.

Hmm.. I have issue's with scizor so I just run arcanine HGSS, it's second attack might be something your more looking for, 180 with weakness 200 with an ebelt, even at max they reduce 40 damage + the 140 hp, so it's just a mirrored attack if you look at it. cya

Replace Roserade with Magmortar SV.

Does what Roserade does but without wasting an energy every turn(sans Leafeon Lv.X) and has Steelix's Weakness.

Yeah but that's only when you evolve it. Seeker takes up your supporter, and SSU is inconsistent.

But Magmortar guarantees 2 conditions while Roserade only gives one(excluding Rainbow energy)

And what supporter is so important in Leafeon that it gets in the way of Seeker drops? The deck should be set up turn 2 at the latest.

@Obsidus: Magmortar SV requires the use of SSU/Seeker. Whilst I have no problem using a Supporter slot on returning it to my hand, it does have a limited number of uses, whereas you can keep using Energy Signal for as long as you have energy.
@Minimidget: I'm 100% fine with Seeker using up my Supporter slot, but I definately agree with the fact that SSU is far too inconsistant, and I really don't think Magmortar SV is worth running(although i do wish it had better attacks...)
@Varit: ....you can't be serious.....really? REALLY? Arcanine HGSS in Leaferade? 4 energy is FAR too much for a deck that has one of it's biggest advantages being the fact that it runs on 1 energy. If i DID run it, it'd be for Sharp Fang, which isn't enough to really scare Steelix. At all. I still think Blaziken FB would work, but that card has doubled in cost since i bought my pair for about 3 bucks apiece. So I'm not sure if I want to go that route just yet.
