Alright, it uses extra comet punch 50, then 100 then next turn, the damage gets reset to 50, doesn't it? It can't just keep slamming away for 100, can it?!

Yes it can. Metagross uses 50. Then it's the next turn. It does 100. Then it's during your next turn. It does 100.

You can keep doing 100 unless you stop using the attack or Metagross gets sent to the bench
