I was looking through my collection of cards the other day, and my eye fell upon my gyarados delta species star. It had an attack that meant you discarded all the cards in your deck but one, and this attack did damage times the number of fire energies discarded. The next card I looked at was my infernape lv.x. It's Flare Up attack required 8 fire energies in the discard pile that could then be shffled back into the deck. At 150 damage, this is almost surely a 1hitko. Now if you combined the effects of these two attacks, you would be able to cause massive damage, most likely cultimating in a prize card, each turn. Sure it would be dangerous, and relatively easy to stop, as all your opponent would have to do is force you to draw a card which would then be game over, but it would possibly be a great shock deck. It would need the element of suptise for certain, or cards that stop the playing of supporters, and many switching cards, but it would cause massive damage. What do you think? Are there any older cards you think could combined to create a great deck that was never used? Discuss!

Remember, Gyarados* needs FOUR Fire Energy attached to him just to use his attack, plus for the combo to work you'll need a Pokemon Lv.X out too. That's really slow, and considering Gyarados's strangely low 80HP would mean Gyarados can get KO'ed easily.
 
I had that ideia a long time ago, I even created a thread similar to this one... and the ideia itself had already been thought by someone else before I created the thread...
 
Well in Unlimited it might work. Spiritomb to get G-Dos and Infernape X out. When G-Dos as enough energy attack. Then play Switch/Warp Point/Warp Energy and level up and hit for 150. It'd be slow but it would be a fun deck.
 
Sorry for bump, but I just wanted to tell Delcatty EX is MUCH faster with this and does alot more damage.

1 Gyarados*
4-4 delcatty EX

51 fire energy
=

Gyarados discards 40+ energies and then next turn, Delcatty EX is Upstreaming to do around 400 damage, enough to kill all tanks and everything in this format.
 
If you are playing unlimited, you can run 3 of the SF Infernape's to maximize getting heads on the power (blaze dance, when you evolve from hand you flip a coin and if it's heads you search your deck for 4 fire energy and attach to your poke's in any way you like), thus powering up G-dos * in one turn.
