So i am a shiny hunter who recently picked up a GBA SP with a copy of pokemon sapphire to shiny hunt. however, when i boot up the game, a message reads: "The internal battery has run dry. The game can be played. However, clock-based events will no longer occur." Before i go on a big shiny hunt, i wanted to make sure that a dry battery would not effect shiny odds so i was not wasting my time. Any answers?
Thanks

The shiny ratio pre-Gen V (Shiny Charm) and Gen VII (changed odds) has always been (and will always be) 1 in 8192.

The "dry internal battery" issue means you cannot take part in any clock-based events in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald. That means no growing Berries, no Lilycove Dept. Store sale, no Berry Master.

The dry internal battery problem will not affect anything related to full-odds shiny hunting in R/S/E.
