Ive noticed all the cards in the Hgss meta game have high retreat costs. So i was wondering is crobat prime good in Hgss on' you could have gengar prime in your deck and send there pokemon to the lost because of poison damage and gengar poke body.

what do you think of this

i was actually just about to post a crobat prime thread... weird. i think it may have a spot in the new format with its free retreat like you said. but im not really sure what it should be paired with. i would think somehting speedy. not to discount your gengar idea. but also something with decent dmg output. i was thinking it may work with mandibuzz. they retreat from poison, you snipe for 50 instead of the 30 crobat would offer.

The card seeker would be real good in gengar and crobat prime. You could bring crobat to the bench and bring up gengar use seeker then play hurl in to darkness.

omg omg! copycat!!! i already was talking about this kind of deck and put it in the deck garage!

I didnt copy off of you.....i just thought of it also. I just bulit this deck and it works real well' it dosent have any energy problmes.

Crobat is a kind of rock paper scissors card. It will lose vs things with free retreat, but it will be effective against those which don't have free retreat.

could maybe play crobat with metagross.
t2 have crobat out and poison.
4 dmg between turns
opponent either retreats slowing down set up or stays to take another 4 between turns
metagross as back up and drop 40 on bench if they decide to retreat.

Steelix laughs in your face =P Anyways it could do well, but there are so many things that can get around it like SSU, Retreating, and Switch

Wow steelix would be a bad match up lol In my crobat and gengar prime deck i put in magby' magby just simply burns them and puts its self to sleep. So i want to special conditons on my oppoents pokemon and then i would bring up gengar' i also have slow king and mister mime junior and i also play twins.

Use Reshiram if you are worried about Steelix. That'll flip that matchup back in your favor if you know what you are doing...

Its not that bad, and Steelix will see less play because of Reshibpar, so Steelix isn't much of a threat unless it suddenly become popular. A big problem is Magnezone Prime can OHKO it, and another you can SSU your active away.

Crobat Prime, like Cincinno will probably become better once catcher is released. That way heavy retreat pokémon can be dragged to the active and poisioned. However, there is 3 issues Crobat Prime must overcome to be successful.

1. Can he counteract energy acceleration decks.
2. When catcher is released, expect more people to run switch and SSU.
3. There is no way Crobat Prime can make a deck on it's own deck. He needs a solid partner whether it's Mew,Gengar,Mandibuzz,Ampharos or Yanmega Prime

The first issue could potentially be counteracted by using Judge and Spiritomb to get energy out of the opponents hand. The second issue has no real work around. The partners I've mentioned are purely speculative at the moment.
