Image codes and more

I am trying to make a group you know, and I made the mascot in photoshop CS3, but when I tried to put in the page, there was nothing. No code or image, just a name I gave to the file. I also want to know how do you make links, you know when you make a link to another site? I'm not good at computers, so could you explain it to me in the easiest way?

That's how you link an image if you want the image to show up. To link a website/image without the image showing up:

[url]INSERT URL HERE[/url]

Try uploading the image to a image hosting site, like Tinypic. Then, put the URL the site gives you in tags, like so:

[img]Put URL here[/img]

To get a hyperlink, do this:

[url=Put URL here]Put text here[/url]
