I can't post new replies on my fanfiction thread

I have a story on there that's 24 chapters long so far, and I aimed to make 24 separate posts. What's happened is that the forum keeps posting it as an edit instead of a new post. I can't post chapter 7 because all the other chapters have filled my 1st chapter post to capacity.

Am I doing something wrong? :(
 
The forum prevents double posting. You must wait a certain amount of time before it will let you post it as a new post. I don't remember exactly how much time. A supermod might be able to tell you exactly how much time.
 
Honestly, I wouldn't just keep posting chapter. I'd wait until some people post reviews about your work. They'll give you feedback on what you currently have. I wouldn't want to post chapter after and chapter and lose the attention of the people trying to read it.

A new chapter a day would work. It allows people to stay with the flow of the story without getting swamped by rapidly uploaded information.
 
Also, simply flooding the readers with chapters makes it difficult for them to read, as they'll have to read the entire thing before commenting.
 
I agree with Zyflair, it just makes the reader (if not, me) not wanting to read the whole wall of text. I am pro posting one chapter per week.
