How to get a lot of draw power?

Everyone, the new BW pluspower rule doesn't come into play until after the BW set comes out.

Also, if you have your mind set on not running Uxie, Use Emcee's chatter or team rockets trickery.

An uxie doesn't legitimize a top of the format deck, because if that was true that would be sad (I think the top in our league ran no uxie in the deck at br's, oh wait that person own's no uxie).

Varit... that means nothing. First of all, very few people take BR's seriously. Secondly, "top person at league" can be anyone. Unless you live in a place like New York or Florida, that title has very little merit. Glaceon, TRT and MC should not be used for draw. TRT only lets you draw 2 cards (not worth it) and MC is far too random to be good. PONT and POV are the best forms of consistant draw ASIDE FROM Uxie.

Let me ask you, why wouldn't you play Uxie? It gets you a fast 7-3 cards and is searchable. It can often win you the game. No it doesn't make the deck tier 1, but it makes it playable. Many other TCG players of other games look for free sources to draw single cards. We have a searchable-easy-to-drop-draw. Why not play it? It is now a $2 rare... just about everyone should have it. EVERY DECK should have room to play it on bench in just about every game. Explain to me the logic as to why you would not play it...

Besides what Zero said about Uxie being a $2 rare (I wish I could find some that cheap Dx), everything he said is a little piece of truth. Well, I find that TRT can be used by Sableye SF when there's nothing else to Impersonate.

Uxie is good. I am just trying to bring new Drawing system to the meta. Therefore, maybe another ORIGINAL deck would use it.

People play what wins. If they didn't, why do people? SOME people enjoy being good/ testing with friends/ events like WORLDS. BRs are bad, and as zero said, unless you're from an area like Florida, the "top player at your league" could be anyone. I'm top at my league, and I own 6 Uxie, all of which are decked currently.

Even if this is luck dependent, a 4-2 or 4-3 Gyarados SF line could potentially work really well with almost ANY deck and especially well with water themed decks. Magicarps can be setup as active for drawing power if lucky and you can use them as a wall against opponents who know the Tail Revenge strategy whilst setting up the rest of your bench. Otherwise, let them knock all your fish out and then bring out one evolved Gyarados and deal some heavy damage with no energy. I have tried and benefited from this so if you have them, use them as much as you can before the next rotation!

Guiltysky, I hope you are joking. You made two TERRIBLE suggestions.. First, how do you wall with Magikarp? It has 30 HP. It is commonly viewed as a free prize. Like you said, people will play around it if they foresee the Tail Revenge. If they can't snipe around it, they will take the free prize and thank you for it. How do you expect to fit a 6 card dos line and a few discarding cards into any deck? Why would the deck being water-typed help? Gyarados doesn't take water energies. In the time that you take setting up dos, you can set up YOUR ACTUAL ATTACKER. Plus, unless your deck uses Rescue (most don't), you'll only ever get 1 gyarados on the field. Finally, WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH GETTING DRAW POWER?! Please think before you post and have some ground before you make an argument.

guiltysky, what the was that? What is the point with draw power? Oh, I understand, because magicarp can draw cards and you want to draw a few to get set up, BY GIVING YOUR OPPONENT 3 PRIZE!!! Then, you want to attack with a Gyrados and belt, TWO PRIZE!. You opponent has already wun the game (kind of). What were you preparing? Depending on LUCK to draw Gyrados and Belt? Hello, Bebe search, pokemon communication and almost everything that we said in this thread will give you more chance. Plus, Gyrados has already it own strategy. A WHOLE deck just for it, 60 cards. You want to add 60 cards in a deck, hum?

"Oh no, if I kill 3 magicarps which has ONLY 30 HP each, Gyrados is going to deal with me, oh no!" If it is like this, you are therefore saying that Gyrados is a god card which after 3 magicarps in the discard, it is auto loose for opponent. Look at a Gyrados deck, you have to deal to at least 4 Gyrados. Is there anything to win then?

I am pretty sure, with a Uxie SET UP, you are going to draw more than 3 Magicarps: Flip a coin until you get tail, for each heads, draw a card.

I'm just saying that although Magicarp is luck dependent, you can potential milk a lot of draw power out of them when your opponent is reluctant to attack them.
