i got this in my first pack pack of heart gold soul silver cards. and my mate said its really rare.

but well its pretty crap. it looks cool and thats it.
"i mean look at your opponents hand"?

thats rubbish. iv got pokemon that let me do that as many times as i want.

also in bottom right it just says one in unknown writing.

so is it very rare? if so why is it so crap

It's between 1 to 3 per box.
Know some people who had 3 boxes, 1 alpha, 1 gyrados and one got nothing.
So you can say it's 1 per 3 boxes.

Actually, it is very good and very rare. You don't have to waist space on your bench and it is a really good card in Gengar decks.

Looking at your opponents hand is not rubbish, when no one has to shuffle their hand back into their deck.

Well compare running 4 Alphs (very possible, I own 3) to a 1-1 Promo Noctowl...

the Promo-Owl is pretty much an Alph every turn.

Let's compare it like this..

Promo-Owl : Alpha Lithograph :: Kingdra Prime : Crobat G

The only difference is, Crobat G is a pokemon and is still waisted space unless you scoop or turn it. :p

Lithograph is a trainer. It's still pretty good.
