How do you delete PM's only once

Can you set the options permanently so it stays the way you want it or is there anothere way? I am wondering because I have to delete my inbox and then my trash can and deleting them twice is making me nuts.

Go to Clear Folders on the left hand side of the PM screen.

Oh ok Thanks. Is there a way you can make it so it only goes into the inbox and no where else after you delete it from your inbox?
