Homework

I think it's fine the way it is. I hardly even get any homework. Usually I only have Geomitry homework and it never takes that long for me. Homework is good as long as it helps you learn or understand something, but not if it's stupid, pointless or a wast of your time.
Homework shouldnt be banned in high school or college. But I know there is a large amount of homework being given in Middle school and elementary school. I think the amount should definitly be limitated, kids need to have a life, and they need to get that into their head!
I think the only kids who need to have homework are the ones who don't understand the subject in class or because of behavier problems.
Well, homework is needed. It does help review what was in class, ect, and basically prepares you for test. You know how the rest goes.
But, I do agree that there is a large amount for elementary students. Both of my brothers are at that level, and they get a homework amount that takes more time then mine does. Seriously, the backpacks weigh almost as much as the kids do.

I think homework should be limited. In one week I have lessons with 15 different teachers, and each of them gives me homework at least once in that week. Which equals 15 homeworks per week. Not to mention that half of the homework is only to see if we were listening in the lesson or just messing about. So yeah...should be limited.
Limited, yes. Eliminated, no.
homework needs to be eliminated forever!
I have mixed feelings about the subject.
Sometimes teachers will give you whatever you couldn't finish in school as homework. That I feel, is completely justified. I also feel that teachers have the right to give you homework, so that you don't forget what you learned at school the second you come home. Teachers also want to test your abilities away from school. When they give you an essay to write at home, they are testing your abilities to work and complete an assingment with out the help of a person that knows a lot about the subject.
What I don't like is when teachers give you "busy work". Work that doesn't need to be done, and will not raise your knowlage on the subject in anyway. That is what I hate.
All though, since I Home School, all my work is homework. I speak from past experiences.
