Yeah he is. I've been out of the Pokemon scene for almost a year & a half now, and so I celebrate my triumphant return.

I'll need to brush up on my faking skills though, especially since with the new DP layout and the removal of the EX mechanic (I loved the EX mechanic).

However, I have thought of starting my own fakes, with some new mechanics added on. For now I'll just provide these in text spoilers, but here's an overview of what I had in mind:

Levels & Lv.X mechanic removed, & EX mechanic re-added with a new twist: A Pokemon-EX is worth only 1 Prize card if KO'ed by another Pokemon-EX, otherwise its worth 2.

Physical/Special/Misc: Each attack now has a label above its energy cost, indicating either Physical, Special, or Misc., which is used for the next mechanic:

Defenses: Works almost exactly like the DP Weakness/Resistance mechanic. Each Pokemon here has two spaces under Defense: one for Physical Attacks, one for Special (Misc moves are typically non-damaging moves). Positive numbers indicate adding damage, while negative numbers subtract. e.g.: Blissey with PDEF +20 & SDEF -20 takes 20 more damage from Physical attacks and 20 less damage from Special attacks. Defenses, however, do not affect damage from official cards.

Energy Bonus: Next to the Energy Cost of the attacks is a 6th Energy slot with the label "EB", which may have an Energy Type occupying it. If it does, and a basic energy card of that type is attached to that Pokemon, you may apply Weakness & Resistance as if the Pokemon were that type instead of its usual type. e.g.: Lets say Entei's Flare Pillar (50 damage) was [RR1|EB:F] and Entei has RRF attached to it, and was up against a Raichu with Weakness: F+20 and Resistance: R-20. You may have Entei deal 70 damage (due to weakness) or not use the EB and deal 30 damage instead.

Revised Darkness/Metal Energies: I've noticed that they decided to readd the Special Darkness & Metal Energies. With the Defense Mechanics, Darkness now only affects Physical attacks, and Metal adds -10 to PDEF. e.g.: That Blissey we mentioned before? Lets assume its [M] type now. Now its PDEF is +10. The effect is the same, just worded differently to suit the Defense Mechanic.

Psycho/Hydro Energy: Meet Darkness & Metal's Special counterparts. Psycho adds 10 damage to Special attacks, Hydro adds -10 SDEF.

Venom type: Nintendo's choice to have Poison listed as Psychic type is just out of place. So instead, Poison now has its own type, complete with a Special Energy card to accompany it (which I have yet to do a "spoiler" on)

So without further ado, the first fake using these "new" Mechanics:

Skarmory - 80 HP
Metal

Poke-BODY: Venom Protection: Prevent all effects of attacks, except damage, done to Skarmory by your Opponent's [V] Pokemon.

[C]/[EB: F] Bramble Peck (10+, Physical)
If Chikory is anywhere under Skarmory, this attack does 10 damage to one of your opponent's Benched Pokemon (Don't apply Weakness or Resistance for Benched Pokemon).

[M][C]/[EB:none] Razor Glide (30, Physical)

Weakness: [R] +20
Resistance: [V] -20
RC: [C]
PDEF: -10
SDEF: 0
