Collecting Holographic Elements Outside Art Frame

I was looking through some of my old cards and I noticed that some of them when held at the right angle show holographic elements outside of the art frame. Is this pretty typical of cards in this era?
 
I tried posting an image but can't quite figure out how to do it without posting from another site. The card is a Lt. Surge's Fearow from Gym Heroes.

If you can find some way to upload an image, that'd help a lot. You can always email yourself the image and copy the URL from that.

That's a holo bleed. It happens sometimes with holo cards where the foiling effect goes into the body of the card. Diamond and Pearl era cards I've noticed have this a lot. I have seen it occur with WOTC era stuff, but I'm not too sure if it's super common with Gym era sets.
