Pokémon (16):
  • 4 Melmetal SM9b (beatdown)
  • 2 Celesteela SM7 (beatdown)
  • 4 Steelix SM11b (beatdown)
  • 4 Onix SM10 (evolution)
  • 4 Jirachi SM8a (enable)
Trainer (14):
  • 4 Pokémaniac (search)
  • 2 Guzma (control)
  • 4 Cynthia (draw)
  • 4 Lillie (draw)
  • 3 Rescue Stretcher (retrieve)
  • 3 Escape Board (retreat)
  • 4 Lure Ball (retrieve)
  • 3 Ultra Ball (search)
  • 3 Nest Ball (search)
  • 4 Ultra Space (search)
Energy (10):
  • 4 Double Colorless Energy
  • 6 Metal Energy

STRATEGY:

Start with Jirachi and search for trainer cards. Bench two Onix and evolve them into Steelix next turn. Use Pokémaniac and the ball cards to find and recycle Pokémon to fuel Steelix. Ultra Space is used to search out Celesteela to enable Steelix to hit numbers at a more consistant rate.

Is this Expanded? A lot of cards here are rotating, but it doesn't look like a conventional Expanded deck (at least to me -- I don't play much of that format).

If you're trying to build this for upcoming Standard, here's a list of the rotating cards from this deck:
- Guzma
- Rescue Stretcher
- Ultra Ball
- Nest Ball
- Double Colorless Energy
