Aaaaaaand that’s what I was waiting for before calling lucario bad. Definitely the consistent damage boost it needed

This is probably impractical in any other deck but in Mamoswine this is quite the substancial buff, effectively a stackable +70 damage on top of Power Protein Pro does give you a substancial damage spike. I don't think Mamo will necesarrily be a good deck per se but this is a really good card on top of P3 to hit impressive damage numbers
Probably pointless in other decks like Mega Lucario though

Depending on the Solrock, Lucario ain’t looking too bad. Fighting might be back, although I do have concerns if the Solrock is good, as then your bench actually gets crowded fast. Bc you definitely play Sol+Luna, and you should probably have a backup Riolu on the bench. So then you have 2 bench spaces, maybe 1 committed to the Garganacl and the other to Hariyama? I think you do play Garganacl though, it allows you to conserve some Premium Power Pro’s, at the cost of it being a stage 2.

Hey I mean this isnt a bad option for mamoswine
Thought the exact same thing. 70+ for each copy on your bench. We already have Reuniclus for set up as well. I run mine with quad Quaquaval for energy acceleration/card draw. It's by no means competitive but it is fun

Meh. Kingambit wasn't good this won't be any better.
Kingambit was a stage 2 that powered up basics, it took up too much deck space and took too long to set up to genuinely be worth its boost. This garganacl isn't anything to write home about, but it works well in decks such as Mamoswine

I have been playing Mamoswine in Live quite a bit. Love the concept, but this Garganacl most likely won't help the deck that much. AFAIK, the deck can get to absurd damage numbers even without specific damage support. The biggest problem I encountered is consistency. Once it gets rolling, it is hard to stop taking KO every turn, but it can brick hard with the need of so many stage 2 and useless basics to evolve them from. A basic with useful ability that can evolve into stage 2 is something that would be much more beneficial.

I've been using Dusknoir, Pidgeot ex, and Swelling Flash Luxray in my Mamoswine ex deck. They all work together pretty well, and it's really funny to fill up your Bench with Luxray out of seemingly nowhere.

We had already seen Premium Power Pro...?
Yes, but with no good item recycling in format, you have to burn 2 of 4 to take out stage 2 exs, and 3 of 4 or more for stage 2 megas. You have 2 uses to drop a zard or Pult, but what then? With Garganacl, the damage boost you need is constantly on the field, with power pro being a fallback or supplement for a Garganacl getting KOed or a slow setup.

Is a stage 2. Is definitely not helping.

The item that does +30 is way better. Would play -30 stadium for stage 2, munkidori or kieran/belt way before i even considered playing anything else.

Heck, i would rather just pkay max belt and give up my ace spec before playing this card

You really don't.

That's why you play the 1 of stadium. Lucario is a deck with fast tempo, you are not meant to be taking out 3 stage 2's.

Your road maps are usually 1-1-2-2 (on an easy two prizer like fezan and one stage two). Or 2-2-2 (on two stages two and a fezan). Can hardly think of any MU where you need to OHKO 3 stage 2's.

I don't see any mega being meta relevant (other than garde), but even if they do, no deck without hitting for weakness can ohko them reliaby. Even the ones that can Ohko, like festival lead (belt + black belt for 190*2) & bolt (6 energies) need specialized tools or very specific board states.

Funnily enough, the only one that lucario wants to ko ASAP has 390 hp due to resistance (and the MU is already unwinnable) so +30 isn't going to fix it anyway. Your deck will just be worse, causing you to lose more games.

Is unrealistic to need more than 4 items and the stadium. And even if you do, and it was super necessary (which it isn't), max belt or kieran/black belt is a better consideration as opposed to a stage 2 that doesn't fix the issue anyway.
