Garchomp SV and Pidgeot (HS Triumphant)

Pidgeot's more of a tech. I thought of it, but Garchomp is best saved when Lost Remover is out.

I dont see how they benefit from each other other then that they can abuse energy, U can combo Pigeot with Memory Barry to just messenger away if your to damaged Garchomp can even use Memory Berry.

I don't get it. Pidgeot only seems good for stopping retreat for a turn. Almost all decks play some combination of Switch, Warp Energy, Warp Point, and Poketurn. How do Chomp and Pidgeot benefit each other? You may have the facade of them working together... because Pidgeot may prevent the opponent from having something important attacking for a turn... but it is nothing more than a facade. Chomp Snipes. No other way of saying that. Pidgeot cannot help with the goal of taking fast prizes. Pidgeot is only good for extending the game and making your opponent suffer for not having enough energy. Chomp will still get happily revenge killed and Pidgeot will still not do enough damage to be worth it. They do not help each other at all.

Chomp Snipes? You must be thinking of Garchomp C Lv. X with Dragon Rush, I'm talking about the Regular Garchomp from Supreme Victors which has a Poke-Body "Dragon Intimidation" that bounces Opponent's energies back to their hand whenever Garchomp is dealt damage or is Knocked Out.

The way Garchomp and Pidgeot benefit eachother is that Pidgeot increases the defending Pokemon's attack cost by {C}{C} with Headwind making it harder for them to land an attack and If they do manage to land an attack on the Active they return an energy back to their hand If Garchomp is dealt damage, thus potentially taking advantage of Speed Impact.

Nidoqueen RR, Blissey PT, or Ampharos Prime seem to work better with Pidgeot than Garchomp possibly. Or just heal Garchomp with Blissey to ensure that your Opponent's Active Pokemon has less energies to attack with.

so what if they Switch out chomp what then?

I can see Pidgeot Vileplume as a deck just to block off trainers so that its harder to switch and Garchomp is just great by himself but
together ehh.

But what Pokemon that's Modified legal has the best synergy with Pidgeot other than Vileplume UD? Garchomp and Pidgeot together seemed nice but now I'm leaning towards Ampharos Prime for Conductivity despite Donphan Prime's popularity.

My fault. Still doesn't work. Pidgeot encourages heavy energy attach. Same thing goes with switching out... they can happily revenge kill your Pidgeot. Pidgeot does not do very much in this format... at all. You'd be better sticking with the Reg Chomp SV. Pidgeot does not work in conjunction with Chomp's power. You might THINK that you are slowing your opponent down by doing this, but you would be smarter to just take the 1/2 HKO instead of beating a dead horse. Pidgeot will drop consistency. Problem with Pidgeot in ANY deck is that it does next to no damage. It COULD work with Plume... but that is questionable. Pidgeot isn't a good card... nor can it be. As far as Pidgeot Chomp, this is another situation of "even though they do pretty close to the same thing... they are not good together".

What about Ampharos Prime with Pidgeot? Pidgeot encourages heavy energy attachments while Ampharos Prime's Conductivity makes them take damage counters for each attachment.

They take 1 counter per attach. That isn't very threatening. It makes your average output about 50 AT MAX per turn... still pretty pathetic.
