Garchomp/Lando/Terrakion

I have been toying around with my Garchomp deck for a while now, and I decided to take out altarias and replace them with 2 big basics and some more trainers:

Strategy: Do early damage/tank with Landorus/Terrakion EX while setting up Garchomp. Energy Switch+Max Potion keep my Pokemon alive while being able to reuse the energy. Terrakion was put in because I didn't have a 2nd Lando EX, but he's nice against Darkrai decks and isn't weak to Keldeo like Lando.

I'm still having a bit of trouble against Keldeo decks and Darkrai decks. Any help would be appreciated :D

I tested it a bit last night, I'm thinking of throwing in more switch/escape rope. Still not too sure if the energy grabbers are worth it :I

I would only run 1 Energy Search if any. However in the list I used, it was Garchomp/Altaria, and I was more reliant on Mach Cut since it could typically 2HKO most everything. It only required one Fighting Energy, so I didn't have any basic Water Energies (just Blends) because I mainly wanted to hit that Fighting requirement. Not sure if this is the same way, but I see no reason not to run the Blends. Enhanced Hammer really only hurts Garchomp, and it just keeps him from being able to use Dragonblade. Most of your attackers you can get something out of for just one energy. I would try to get a hold of another Landorus though, which it sounds like you like Landorus more than Terrakion. Lastly, swap the Energy Retrievals for at least one Super Rod. It's much more gereral recovery. You can get back stuff you happen to discard with Dragonblade, and since you don't run the Altaria line, you'll probably be using Dragonblade more often.

I loved the Garchomp/Altaria deck I was running, but it was really hard to compete with darkrai/keldeo decks that set up much quicker. I'm trying this out but I am really missing Altaria XD

Do you think Garchomp/Altaria/Landorus EX is more viable?

To be honest, I haven't touched Garchomp in a very long time. I remember you could essentially get set up with Call for Family, Level Ball, and Skyla. You could thin your deck with Dragon Call and stream Garchomp, but I hadn't tried Garchomp without Altaria. I thought the damage output would be too low to really warrant using Garchomp anyway. I did play around with a simple tech of Terrakion but I hated starting with it, and it was hard to pull off all the pieces with it to make it come out of nowhere, but that may have changed with Skyla. My personal opinion is that Altaria is what makes Garchomp good, and with Dragon Call, running an additional Stage 1 doesn't ruin consistency.
