The Game Corner forum is now set to an approval system, like the Groups forum and Trading Corner. The reason for this is a lack of high quality games and spam threads. From now on only games that show long term potential and meet requirements will be allowed. For those who don't know how an approval system works: No one but moderators can see your thread when it is posted. It has to be reviewed by a moderator and then they can make it visible if it meets requirements.
All new games must:
- Have a set of clearly explained rules
- Have a clear explanation of how the game is played
- follow all Game Corner Rules.
To make a new game, simply post your game thread. Be sure to make a copy of your thread somewhere before you post it so you do not lose it. (text/word document, etc.) Your thread will be reviewed and then you will receive a PM saying that you have been approved or denied. If you were denied you will be given a reason why. People who have not had much success with games in the past or apply too frequently are less likely to be approved. Please be patient as it may take up to a day to approve your thread.
All current threads will be reviewed and locked if they are too spammy or do not show any potential for long term success. A forum cleanup will take place this week as well.
Game Corner Rules
1) All PokéBeach Forum Rules apply.
2) Your game cannot be "random" or a spam magnet. Examples of these games are kinds where you can pretty much type anything you can come up with as a response, or games that encourage spam.
3) All posts must be a sentence (image in some cases) or more and be on topic. Any posts that are shorter than a sentence or completely off topic will be considered spam and net you a 40% warning. Questions about the game should be PMed to the person who made the game, not posted in the thread. The thread is for playing the game. Game thread owners may make posts for game announcements.
4) YPPY-style (You post -person posts -person posts - you post again) spam games (counting, etc.) are not allowed, but any intelligent game will be considered. RPG's will now be limited to a few only, (Will become a # soon, only the best will survive.) they must show long term potential and people who play must post according to rule #3. Note that for the time being we are not approving any new RPG's.
5) Games that have not been posted in for two weeks will be locked. To remake or reopen a game, you will have to make a new thread.
6) If you own a game in the Game Corner and you get banned, your game will be locked.
7) PM the thread owner to join a game. Join posts are not allowed in the thread. Posts such as "You're in!" or "___'s in!" are also not allowed. If your thread has contestants/players there should be a list that gets updated in the first post.
8) Use your head and act like a decent human being. Act like a fool and you'll find yourself banned quick.
Overall, focus on making and playing fun games that are intelligent, unique, and creative. Really GOOD, well maintained games will be stickied. Have fun, and PM me if you have any questions.
