Nevertheless, if this "changing short forms into real words" thing becomes a habit, it can bring bad to people. Since English is the universal language, talking, typing documents/letters, chatting, etc. with words like "plz" and "teh" will be bad, especially during important stuff. This happens because they are too used to using short forms that will change into real words.

Lol. I think the filtering should remain for the offensive words only. The English language should be learned and not filtered. =]

Yeh, luckily that only occures very rarely on the forums. For the Language part it should remain as it is otherwise everyone would become slack with their grammar.

There's seriously nothing wrong with using Microsoft Word to check for spelling and grammar mistakes. If they don't know the meaning of something, dictionary explains it all. =p

Okay, maybe abbreviations should not be filtered. But IMO {d}/{f}/{m} should be filtered into their correct counterparts. Even in my other computer (I am using it to post this post), I cannot type out ALT +235.

I think having the "δ" are okay to filter, I just don't want to start seeing Quoted For Truth. Because IMO, the extended versions sound...well strange, FTW especially.

I just like the abbreviations better.

It would be nice to see WTF changed to What the Feraligatr and LOL into Loltorb. Rofl into Roflareon or Roflariados would also deter members from using such horrid acronyms

So, abbreviations should not be changed, but signs like δ and ♂ should. WPM, execute!

EDIT: WPM has executed the filtering, since pokemon turns into Pokémon. Not bad.
