I was wondering if Iron Skull would negate the effects of Fainting spell. Here's the scans:

Nope. Iron Skull does not prevent Fainting Spell.
Iron skull only affects the attack DAMAGE, not any other effect after the damage.
In other words, Fainting Spell takes effect after the damage has been calculated because you can only use Fainting Spell if Gengar is KO'd and you only check for KO's after damage has been calculated.
