Pokemon EV confusion

So I check up serebii.net for a charizard and I look at the Ev's it says 3 sp. attack but hen I beat a charizard and level up I don't get three sp.attack stat up
Can anyone explain how this is?

It's a hidden Value. When you get 4 of one EV stat it's going to raise that stat by 1. So you'll have to KO another Poke that gives at least 1 SP Atk. EV before you even see any change.
