Enbuoh-Magmortar Deck Disruption

Ok i'm sure some of you have heard of Magnegatr, a deck using Magnezone prime and Feraligatr Prime. You attach energies with feraigatr and use magnezone to hit 50 times the amout of energy discarded each turn to the lost zone. Now the new black and white set has just been released in Japan and I was looking through the cards.

I found Enbuoh which is the stage 2 fire starter. It's ability Fervid Dance, lets you attach one fire energy to any pokemon as many times as you like a turn. Now this is just like rain dance however you can attach the energy to any pokemon not just water energy which would make magnegatr much more vertisile. Enbouh has 150hp which means it can take quite a lot when on your bench. It's only downside is it's 4 retreat cost which sucks.

It's other attack heat stamp does 80 for [f][f][c][c] so nearly exactly the same as feraligatr's attack. Now what really sets the cards appart for use with magnezone is that enbouh's prevolution Chaobuu has 100HP which is great for stage 1 and will stop it getting sniped by garchomp X and it actually has a decent attack for [f][f][c] for 70 which is good if you need to use it.

Magmortar from triumphant with Enbuoh would make a really powerful disruption deck. With flygon lv.x it will be awesome.

Look to later posts for decklists

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

Enbouh could work with magmortar but the chance of losing all the enery isn't great. If you paired it with lots of fisherman and maybe typhlosion prime it could work. It would be a great disruption deck trying to make your opponent top deck. You could also pair it with flygon lv.x so that they discard a card between turns aswell.

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

Both have potential. I, for one, think that Pokémon Catcher will sorta kill Magnegatr (due to the 4 retreat on Enbuoh), or at least make it much less viable.
Magmortar has great potential. I'd say a basic outline of maybe this would work pretty well...
4-4 Magmortar
2-2-2 Enbuoh
4 Spiritomb
4 Uxie
4 Pokémon Communication
4 PONT
30 fire energy
just off the top of my head. There would be a lot that could work, and maybe this wouldn't. But it's an idea.

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

Id think uxie would be out by the time WB comes out.

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

How are you going to get {R} back from your Discard Pile If you flip Tails from Magmortar's Top Burner attack? This is the HS Triumphant Magmortar were talking about right?

Typhlosion Prime would be an okay tech to get them back with Afterburner and Fisherman would help tremendously in this deck idea with Embuoh. Add in Interviewer's Questions as well for energy grabbing and you got yourself a solid deck.

2-2 or 3-3 Ninetales HGSS should be added for drawpower cause Roast Reveal is too good to pass up. I think the new Embuoh has amazing potential with another deck, Salamence with Feraligatr Prime...

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

I like the idea of adding in 1-1 or 2-2 electrode prime in this deck. If i use energy returner to return energy to the deck later in the game and i have a thiner deck then i have a higher chance of getting more energy with electrode prime.

But otherwise fisherman will be enough (maybe?)

RE: Next generation Magnegatr Deck

would heatran lv.x work with this? It lets you kepp up to 2 energy discarded from your attack each turn.

I was wondering if it was stackable then if you had 2 out magmortar could save 4 energy a turn.

Ok how about:
4-4 Magmortar
2-1-2 Enbuoh
1-1-1-1 Flygon Lv.x
2-2 Ninetales (HGSS) (shiny vulpix)
4 Energy Retreval (doesn't take up supporter)
3 Fisherman
2 Collector
2 Rare Candy
3 Bts
4 Rescue Energy
21 Fire Energy

The problem is that it's hard to find space for trainers in this deck as it needs lots of pokes and energy

or with CoL coming out. do embour magmortar and shiny groudon. but that kind of ruins the pure fire deck idea though. but if you lose energies if you flip tails with groudon you can use fisherman to get them back and then put them all down with embour. i made a discard deck. it really does mess up your opponent when all the cards they need are in there discard.

And this deck could be made to a high damage deck, just add in 1-1/ 2-2 blaziken FB and you can use that auto burn from magmortar to 2 hit k.o everything (ok it will be 160 damage + burn + belt if attacked twice). So this deck has potential as attacker and discarding/disruptive.

which magmortar are you refering to?
Blaziken would work well except there isn't that much space for it,

Most likely Lv. X, which obviously isn't legal anymore. This decks sole purpose should be to make your opponent deck out. It shouldn't even take a single prize, barring a desperation Burst Punch.

i have made a deck list thread in the tournament decks forum so check it out. I am using a combo of blaziken FB Lv.x and Heatran LV.x to burn the opponent for 60 a turn a long with the disruption

I was referring to the TR magmortar, it's second attack (the one that dose damage) dose 60 damage and has a auto burn effect.

Well that's what confused me. It's an attack that burns. It's not auto-burn. Auto-burn in my eyes is what Heatran does.

^Well in most cases you have to flip for the burn, right? But for his attack you don't. So i consider it a auto burn...
But what you are saying is true, that it's an attack and doesn't "auto" burn since you have to attack. If something should be considered auto burn it would be blaziken PL (one power, no flip needed), right?

Oh well forget about that subject for now >.>
Blaziken FB X would help (for higher damage) in case you want to attack early game and get some prises since you might want the energy that surely hides in your prizes.

i am going to be using both blaziken FB X and Heatran X so would it be a good idea to include a houndoom? or just keep my one magmortar from supreme victors?

No houndoom -.- Not worth it since you need lots of energy and like XFlameMasterX started before, your main strategy is to discard opponents deck. And i don't know if magmortar from SV is really needed aether. If you want to attack just use the TR one.
