DS error code 051111-1

Whenever I try to connect my DSi to my wireless internet connection, I come up with the error code
"051111-1"
Anyone know the problem?

The Nintendo DS is unable to connect to an Access Point. What to do will depend on where you are connecting from:

Connecting from a wireless home network:
If you have multiple connection files saved to your Nintendo DS, the error message you received can help determine which connection file may be experiencing a problem:

Errors ending in 0 = connection file 1
Errors ending in 1 = connection file 2
Errors ending in 2 = connection file 3
Errors ending in 3 = Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector

Make sure that the DS is within 30 feet of the wireless access point and facing in its general direction.

Make sure that any other interfering devices, such as microwaves and cordless phones, are turned off.

Nothing of that category is even in my house, and I'm trying to connect to it from the next room. (Around 4 metres/12 feet)

I believe that same code popped up on my DS a while back. I found out that some routers simply don't work with DSs. Have you used the router before.

Also, my router is about dead. It is slow for my Wii and Ipod too, so that could be the problem for me and it could be unrelated to your problem.

I have used this router before, it's wireless connectivity is faulting all 'round. My laptop won't connect either. It just cut out one day, no settings have been changed and no wires are unplugged.
It's possible that it's the bad connection but I heavily doubt it.
