If you are asking how to get an avatar, just upload a picture from your computer:
User CP > Your Profile > Change Avatar
From there, just browse to the file that you want to upload. It must be 70 x 70 pixels. If you want a larger avatar, then upload an avatar from an image server, like ImageShack.
