We've been going out for about three months now. This problem didn't really rise until today; she just constantly refuses to greet my dad with "Hello Sir" or "Thank you sir"; she thinks it's okay to do this, but my dad was raised to think that this was rude, and I kind of agree with him. Her excuse is that she wasn't raised this way to greet other people's parents with sir or ma'am and thinks it's logically okay. My dad is threatening me to break up with her if she keeps refusing to call him sir; I begged her to simply just call him sir when greeting him, and I pleaded my butt off, but she just won't do it; she keeps saying sorry, "I still love you" though, but if she can't even do a simple thing like that for me, does she even love me?

She's just being stubborn. There's nothing wrong with calling any adult Sir, or Ma'am; it's what you're supposed to do. She obviously still loves you, but you need to tell her that respect is one of the most imortant things in a relationship. If she doesn't agree, what happens will happen.

Try asking in the Relationship Discussion thread, we've moved all relationship talk to there.
