ok i have an idea that can help everything someone needs to offer a PM service so the noobs can PM the person then awnser the questiong i would say that could work?
Hey! That is not nice! I just like being organized and neat, is that too hard to ask for!?! Anyways, I think the PM service would work well...Senor Noobnerd said:Do people actually stare at your thread page daily, or is it just you?bubba235 said:Hmm...okay. I might just delete all of my threads that are REALLY old and can no longer be posted on to make my threads page look better...

Fire Pokemon Master said:Well, maybe as we have a section of each page for stickied threads, why not have for locked threads. it would wokr the same way as the normal threads, when it starts to get old and new locked threads come, it is moved onto the behind page. Simple.
No and no. We don't need one.xxashxx said:We could have a locked thread forum for locked threads only. If a thread gets locked it automatically goes there.![]()
Okay... But don't waste your time. No one re-reads. They're quite a lot of things in this world to do. Take my advice.bubba235 said:Hey! That is not nice! This is the best summary of what every type of member keeps thinking and saying time and again.GODZILLA said:Fire Pokemon Master said:That rather defeats the point of locking the thread, no-one would go to that forum to loock at them... Noob/Newb: "I can't post in this thread anymore! It says it's "locked." What does locking mean? Must be a glitch of some sorts. Oh well, guess I'll just move on doing the exact same thing I've been doing.
Moderator: Gosh, why don't people realize that reviving a locked thread isn't good? I mean, we're not telling them why reviving threads or making short, non-relevant posts is bad. Why is not telling them why they shouldn't revive old threads or what spam is working? When will people who don't know and are not told why what they're doing is wrong keep doing the wrong thing?
Forum members: We should be reading this post because the writer is so cool and totally awesome.
Guy who wrote this post: I've said this before. Give the new people a reason to read the newbie guide or make it VERY NOTICEABLE AT THE TOP OF EACH PAGE LIKE THIS similar to WPM's spelling and grammar thread. Main point being, give a CLEAR and EXACT definition of forum terminology, such as "locking" and "spam", and why things like that need to be followed.
Along with this, there aren't "n00bs" here because they're young. There are some 10-11 year olds here who don't spam yet they're young. Why? Because they've learned about spam, locking, mods, etc. That's the main problem. Teaching people the ways of the forum.
P.S. Some parts may be worded awkwardly but oh well.
bubba235 said:WoW! That was a big post. Anyways, I don't really see what you are getting at here. Are you for just deleting threads or are you against it?
I stand with Kevin.Kevin Garrett said:Threads that are posted for the sole purpose of spam are usually deleted, but other threads are simply locked to show other members what is unacceptable. Since most members don't actually read through the rules thoroughly, it is a method to get them to learn the rules without reading them.
