A big congratulations is in order for [member]Zyflair[/member] for winning the Haiku & Short-Poem Contest XII. Though there was no theme, Zyflair wrote a haiku that stood out to award her a win.
Nemesis of All
Rushing violently,
Disguised so innocently,
Time knows no mercy.

Congratulations to our winners, and fantastic job to everyone who participated!

Writing Contests
----

For those who have been participating in the Haiku & Short-Poem Contests, there is a rule change for the Haiku & Short-Poem Contest XIII. While submissions open today and run through Wednesday, February 8, 2012 around noon central time, participants will not be "signed-up" until their submissions are posted or PM'd to [mod]Apollo the Incinermyn[/mod]. Please note that rule change, and keep the theme, Love or Romance, in mind when writing. Keep your submissions family-friendly!

Signups for the Round-Robin Contest are continuing through Wednesday, February 1st! To compete, participants are to write passages between 500 to 1,000 words in length that continue the storyline established by the winning piece from the last round. There are currently 3 participants signed-up, and a total of eight submissions are allowed. Check out the thread for the full story so far, and be sure to PM your submissions to [mod]Apollo the Incinermyn[/mod]. This is great contest, and we'd love to see participation pick up!
