Ruling Communication Fail Search and Magnezone

Two questions:

1. Can I fail search on Pokemon Communication? Because I show my opponent I have a Pokemon in my deck before starting the search so they know I have one in there.

2. Can Magnezone Lost Zone a DCE to do 100 damage, or will it only do 50?

1. Once the pokemon goes into your deck, it is no longer public knowledge, so you can fail Pokemon Communication.

2. Lost Burning a DCE would only do 50 with a DCE, because it says "Energy Cards" not "Energy"
