Clear sleeves for sleeves.

If you're like me, you enjoy playing with the pretty prerelease sleeves.
You know, those sleeves that rip and explode while trying to make your game good fine?
I found a sleeve in one of my boxes that fit a card in a prerelease sleeve nicely.
Would anyone know where you could get these clear sleeves, or was it just a fluke?

The 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" Penny sleeves are just too small. ;_;

Are you saying you put the card in a sleeve in another sleeve?

They sound just like penny sleeves to me if they are all clear, you can get them at any hobby shop for cheap.

Well, I went and bought pennies today and they were slightly smaller than the sleeve I had found.

you probably got the one for the smaller cards, like Yu-Gi-Oh cards...you might check sites like Ultra-Pro and see if they have any for order

Nah, I got the 2 5/8" x 3 5/8" ones. They are slightly bigger than a magic/pokemon card.

I use the penny sleeves when I'm trading (well used to trade on here before I got a ban from trading).
Other then that, they just sit in my box of sleeves I've got (I've got a cell phone box to hold them in).

I'm willing to bet the sleeve you've found was a fluke, as I've found penny sleeves large enough to cover a higher quality sleeve in the past. They're just cut a bit larger, rarely will you find sleeves made for that purpose.

However, while uncommon in the west, sleeves meant for protecting sleeves are actually very popular in places like Japan, as companies tend to produce a lot of limited edition sleeves for various card games. I've seen Japanese websites selling high-quality clear sleeves tailored for protecting other sleeves, but never on the english speaking side of the internet. If anyone has some experience on how to obtain some, I'd be interested in knowing.
