'Chilling Reign,' June's English TCG Set!

Surprised that Raboot's artwork didn't get censored. Very suggestive of smoking. (Then again, this still isn't the English version.)
I take it you live in a warmer climate and have never been in colder weather before? You can see your breath when it's cold enough outside.

Blaziken VMAX was not removed from the set, Dracozolt was.

Along with Dracozolt, I also remove cards that are mostly bland using the current info we had.

  • Larvesta, Volcarona
  • Psyduck, Golduck
  • Tentacool, Tentacruel
  • Luvdisc
  • Carvanha, Sharpedo
  • Tympole, Palpitoad, Seismitoad
  • Arctovish V
  • Mareep, Flaaffy, Ampharos
  • Dracozolt V
  • Dracozolt VMAX
  • Cutiefly, Ribombee
  • Woobat, Swoobat
  • Roggenrola, Boldore, Gigalith
  • Hippopotas, Hippowdon
  • Teddiursa, Ursaring

I don't think anyone has said Blaziken VMAX was removed. The consensus from everyone has pretty much been that Draco/Arcto were removed from the set. I also think Galarian Rapidash V FA (x2) could be removed and replaced by the alt Celebi and Sandaconda

Wasn't the name of shadow calyrex's ability hell's gate? That sounded much cooler than the English name. bUt sWEaR wOrD wE neEd tO pRoTecT OUr cHiLdrEN
ngl I think Underworld Door sounds much more mysterious and better than Hells Gate.

Does it look like Raboot's smoking? I looks more like breath in cold weather
I take it you live in a warmer climate and have never been in colder weather before? You can see your breath when it's cold enough outside.
I've experienced this for sure, but the pose as well the positioning of the sun seems very suggestive of a lit cigarette. IDK if it was intentional, but other artworks have been censored for less.

Oh, GOD, the Alt Art SRC VMAX is going to be in the set, after all! There goes any chance of getting the set...

Also, 13 FA Supporters?!? I think I need to lie down! Those are always my favorites!

And MAN, is this set huge! I kind of missed mega sets like this, where there were tons of chase cards to collect! Obviously, tons of chase cards definitely ISN'T on collectors' wish lists right now, what with the potential for even more scalping, but we can still appreciate the beautiful artwork of these chase cards, right?

I feel like the cut cards are perfect to put in a special set like 25th anniversary. As they are plain vanilla cards for most of them which is what they usually put in those sets

Over 70 full arts and secret rares will make this set an absolute NIGHTMARE to complete, if anyone is crazy enough. But I'm glad that many of the awful cards were cut from it!

Don’t get me wrong-I’m excited for this set, and the cards in it. But…It’s sets like these that really make it show that pull rates need to get with the times. The old 1:3 Holo, 12 Holos or better average in a box thing just doesn’t cut it, now that there’s over 70 FAs and SRs, on top of whatever how many Holos, Vs and VMAXs we have too. The old rates are not compatible with the sheer magnitude of these new sets. Either up the rates in English packs, switch to Japanese-format sets, or both.

But of course, as nice as that sounds, it’s never going to happen. We’ll be stuck with the same archaic rates as Pokémon continues to keep adding more and more cards with every set. At least we have singles, but of course, that’s not the full solution to the issue, especially as chase cards get more and more expensive. Packs have to supply those things, after all. I quit being a completionist around Sun and Moon, and seeing the way things are now I’m glad I did so, even if I love so many of these new cards.

I am loving some of the artwork in this set, but apart from maybe 3 cards there's nothing that I feel like I must must have?

Not to mention that if the pull rates are boosted, it might actually help diminish the scalping situation if their beloved chase cards are more commonplace!
