Hello All TES here, Celestial Storm is coming up very soon for countries such as Australia and that means a Celestial Storm PRERELEASE!! Today I will be talking about the Pre release Musts. Including what you need, what cards are great for pre-release tournaments and what cards you should trade for. So lets get cracked into it!!
What you need or a pre-release
- 50 Sleeves
- Dice
- Special conditions counters
- Play mat
- TRADE BINDER
You need 50 sleeves to protect your deck while playing and if you pull valuable cards than you can protect those cards.
Dice are needed because you obviously need to represent your damage since rarely pre-release decks two – three shot your pokemon since how slow pace pre-release decks are.
Special Condition counters are needed because special conditions speed up the game by adding extra damage.
Play mats aren’t necessary but keeps your play area clean and understandable.
Trade Binders are important since if you don’t pull anything you want than you can trade other people for the cards you want.
What cards are great for the Celestial Storm Pre-release.
- All GX’s, They are able to KO most things in the pre-release starter kits.
- The Volbeat and Illumise line is great.
- Wailord is a big wall.

Volbeat - Grass - 70 HP
Pokemon - Basic
[G] Pheromone Catch 20+
If one of your Illumise used 'Pheromone Sign' last turn, this attack does 100 more damage.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

Illumise - Grass - 70 HP
Pokemon - Basic
G Pheromone Sign 20
Your opponent's active Pokemon is now confused.
Weakness: Fire
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1
This combo is great because you confuse first in which they probably won’t attack then you can hit for 120 for 1 energy!! You could possibly do a total 170 dmg. 20+20+100+30.

Wailord - Water - 220 HP
Pokemon - Stage 1
WWWW Dwindling Wave 200-
This attack deals 40 damage less for each damage counter on this Pokemon.
Weakness: Grass
Resistance: none
Retreat: 4
220 HP and a decent attack means that this pokemon can become a wall and a attacker KOing alot of pokemon.
That’s only a few pokemon that are great.

What Cards you should trade for.
Shriftry GX, Rayquaza GX, Bannette GX, Magargo, Copycat, acro bike, electrike and any other pokemon that you may find useful. I say this because if you have knowledge about the potential of certain cards while the other person doesn’t than you could get a lot of value out of your trade.

Those were only some of the pokemon that would be great for prerelease tournaments. Other great pokemon include special condition pokemon or pokemon with effects. Good luck with your celestial storm prerelease and see you on monday. AEST.
