Is the second day of States in the Expanded format? Is expanded format going to be used at all at states?

Could someone tell what all goes on at a Regionals tournament (aside from the TCG/VG playing of course)? A buddy and I might be going to the Regional tournament in Madison, WI. He is going to play both the TCG and VG, but I think I'm only going to play on the TCG day, so are there booths/vendors to explore while the VG tournament is happening? I don't want to just be sitting around all day. Thanks for any responses.

At larger tournaments such as States, there are tons of vendors and fun activities to do. And after the tournament, there's usually side events and League play.
