I found this in my file on word microsoft... I thought it was interesting so I guess i'll post it... Just tell me what you think I guess...
Long ago the sky’s used to become completely engulfed by darkness after the sun went down, no light shone down until the next day. This didn’t cause much trouble until one night. Creatures came from within a castle which had been long forgotten. These creatures only came out at night ,when no one could see a thing. They destroyed villages and tore towns apart. People tried to hang lights up all around town, and this seemed to keep the creatures away. But even this did not stop them for they suddenly took the shape of knights and wore armor which protected them from the light.
After three years of this horrible war between humans and the shadow Veyths a young man stood up from the rest of the crowd. He decided to challenge these creatures and attempt to take back their world. The creatures never traveled without their leader, the Grand Veyth, the people belived that if the leader were destroyed, the rest of the creatures would leave them alone.
The people gave the man armor, a sword, and a bright red shield. After preparing he got on his horse and rode off into the valley toward the castle of the Veyths. He rode across the valley till he reached the great forest. The trees were too close for him to exceed with his horse, he had to excel on foot. As he entered the forest he felt a grave feeling, as if something baring the eyes of death were watching him. He began to feel light and feint but he kept walking. Suddenly he heard a noise from within the trees above. Then suddenly a black fogged being came swooping down. It’s body fit cape seemed as fog swarming all around his floating body.
The shady figure started toward him, it slowly crept behind him. He felt frozen solid, stuck in the ground, unable to move. The being reached inside its cape and pulled out a black arrow. It slowly started reaching the tip of the arrow toward his neck. Suddenly a rampaging galloping noise cleared the air, out from the side of his eye he could see a giant, white, unicorn racing right for him. It snarled and slammed it’s feet to the ground. The figure let away from the man and Swayed away from the unicorn. The Unicorn galloped furiously toward the figure. Just before the unicorn rammed the figure, it disappeared into the air and the unicorn stood their… confused.
He started toward the unicorn but before he could get close it snarled and galloped off into the forest. The man, a bit shook in up, kept on into the forest. He finally reached the end of the forest and found a giant mountain pass covered with snow. He started into the pass , he walked slowly looking all around alert of everything. He was almost at the end of the pass he could see the mountain but then suddenly just before he reached it a giant rock fell from the side of the cliff and landed right in front of him. The rock started rumbling and shacking as if a bomb just burst inside of it. Then two long shards shot out of the bottom of the rock, then it stood up. Three more shards shot out from the top of the rock. The rock started walking toward him, another shard came out of its right arm. It swung the rock at him, he jumped and dodged it but the slam caused rocks and snow to fall continuously. He pulled his sword out and examined the rock it had a small white shard sticking out from its head. As the rock swung the shard again a big boulder fell from the mountain behind it and shattered on its head. Then he ran straight to the rock creature, jumped up it, and slammed the sword into the white shard in its head. A screech came from within the creature and then it began to fall apart. It abolished just as fast as which it had arose.
After the bits of rock stopped falling he walked over to examine the rubble to find his sword but all he found was the handle of it with a small remain of the blade still in tacked. But then he noticed a gleaming shimmer coming from the other side of the rubble he went over and looked at. It was clearly a diamond but it had the shape of a sword. He gently picked up the sharp diamond and noticed at the bottom was a slit. He fit his sword handle into it and the sword remain held to it well. He now had an extremely sharp blade and was ready to face the Veyth Lord.
He started to climb up the mountain side slowly and carefully making sure not to loose his grip. After climbing for what seemed like hours he could feel the top of the mountain and rushed to quickly. He lost his grip and almost fell to his death but he managed to grab back on and pull himself up.
As he began to pull himself up he could see the humongous castle that stood just across a long, dark, snow filled valley. As he began walking toward it he noticed that the sun was starting to set. The bright sun was shining in his eyes, he could barely see. He put his hand above his eyes to block out whatever sunlight he could, he stopped dead in his tracks. An army of what seemed to be hundreds and hundreds of shady creatures like the one he encountered in the forest. They were rushing toward him and now screaming and screeching which suddenly became blinding. Though this time he did not let his fear freeze him. He turned around and began to run as fast as he could. He looked behind him and to his surprise he found how he would survive this horror. The sunlight was reflecting from the shield on his back and shining clear across the field onto the creatures, and to his surprise each one the sunlight touched turned to dust, incinerated. He pulled the shield off his back, kneeled down, and held the shield toward the creatures across the field. The sunlight began to destroy one after another until they all were dust in the field.
He walked up to the front of the castle and noticed a large open hole which appeared to be the entrance. He entered the castle and slowly walked down a long hall. Shadow Veyths stood all around but none of them even flinched when they noticed him. They all rushed over to the end of the hall and opened a large black door. He walked into another large room with a chair at the end of it. Their sat the Veyth Lord with a giant shield in his right hand and a large black sword in his left hand and armor all over his body, you couldn’t even see his skin. He stood up and walked toward the man. As the Veyth walked toward him it said , “You have faced three challenges and succeeded in each one. You warded off the shadow creature , you destroyed the rock incarnate. But the one challenge we thought you would not be able to face was the army of Shadow, and yet you succeeded at that too. So prepare yourself for the one challenge you cannot complete, face me!!!”
As the creature said these last words it swung the sword toward the man but missed. The man pulled his blade out ,the diamond blade, and swung it at the Veyth. The creature held up his sword and the diamond blade cut straight through it just at the base and cut the whole blade off. The creature hissed and swung its shield at him. He held his Sword right to it, the blade cut clear through it. Then he heard an eye popping scream come from all the other veyths watching. The blade cut through the shield and right into the Veyth Lords face. It started rampaging around the room and then it fell. All the veyths in the room just dispersed into the air, black fog filled the room.
He looked over at the Veyth Lord, its body was glowing a dark red. Then it burst, a big blast shot out of the creature and broke through the castle walls. The castle then began to fall, the man ran out from the castle and saw the ball of flame soaring into the sky. It then burst and a flash of flame cleared all of the sky and small flicks were left behind and they glowed.
He returned home and was appraised by everyone for the rein of the veyths was all finally over.
But this is not all that happened because of this event. The small flicks left in the sky were not just temporary. They stayed for a while, forever to be precise. These small flicks soon became known as the stars of the night sky and not just that another sun was born not a bright warm one but a white calm, cold, one which shone light down to the earth.. The veyths could never return for without the armor they had before and the light night and day light that would destroy them, their race went extinct and they were forgotten never to be seen again.
