Strategy
Have Ampharos in active with frozen city out to make each energy attachement cost 5 damage counters to non plasma pokemon.

Being my second deck i'm trying to make use of the supporters i have left to build a coherent supporter pool.

Im not sure what to add in with ampharos in terms of pokemon. With my energy being limited to electric, theres not much i really considered using and Ampharos should always be in the active. Ideas were.
-Emolga: call for family
-Outragers: to damage themselves and outrage for the 2 other energy types.
-Leafeon: To deal with any deck that doesn't manually attach energy and grass coverage
-Plusle/Minun for tag draw
-Munna/Musharna for Long distance hypnosis and forewarn
-Electrode for magnetic draw

I also want to add in crushing/enhanced hammers after the release of legendary treasures.

No catchers because there isnt a real point to them since this deck is all about forcing the opponent to hurt themselves in order to attack. Maybe 2 catchers at most to get out those threats charging in the back that i cant take down with snipe damage.

Any suggestions for additional pokemon or changes to this deck?

A guy at my league made this deck with 2-2 electrode, 3-1-3 amphy, 3 frozen and a couple plasma badge. It seems like a dangerous deck to make.

I get the plasma badges, but i don't like having to worry about silver mirror being an option. To prevent me from attacking. I also tried 3-1-3 before and i didnt like how slow it took to set up my first ampharos sometimes. I've learned how much more consistent 4-2-4 is with my beedrill deck.

Interesting that you would only play 4 basic Poké which would result in mulligan'ing several-numerous times (chances are). So, you are providing extra cards to your opponent at the beginning of the game. So, I'd definitely suggest your maxing Ns out - just to hopefully get those extra cards out of your opponent's hand.

Secondly, if your opponent opens with a F Poké (e.g., Landorus EX), you may want to consider adding some Poké like Zapdos that is a L Poké and has F Resistance. Or, as an alternative, add 4 CfF Poké (there are several options, but Emolga may work best for you given its F Resistance) that can help facilitate your Poké setup.

Im not trying to play only 4 basics. If you read the first post at all you would see that im looking for suggestions on what to add. The point of this deck is to always have ampharos in the active to make use of its ability. So alternative attackers isn't that great of an option, so supporting bench sitters may be the best bet.

I still need to add 8 cards. I just dont know what basics to use. Also i said that this is a secondary deck, so i dont have anymore Ns for this deck.

I believe Zekrom and Dusknoir/Reuniclus would fit really good in this deck. Zekrom would benefit from damage by attaching, and Dusknoir/Reuniclus to move your(opponent's) damage. Dusknoir would do better, though, because it's bulkier than the Jell-o-Cell... XD

Pokemon
4-0-3 Ampharos DRX
1-1 Munna
2-1-2 Dusknoir
2 zekrom

tighter list for pokes than blastoise ngl

Why don't you put in Mirrors yourself? The Plasma match up doesn't sound like fun since they get around Frozen City plus the fact that Raiden Knuckle/Emerald Slash and Colress Machine is not affected by Ampharos's Ability. Silver Mirrors are a rogue deck's best friend!

Apologies. I missed the "+8" line in your list.

For suggestions, have you considered using "hit and run" Poké like Donphan or Accelgor? Both of these Poké can attack and move out of the active position to allow you to promote Ampharos.

Actually, Celebi-EX could work well here to both hit-and-run and, if given the case, use Flaaffy's Cotton Guard to reduce damage whilw Amphy is Active.

I sort of like that idea. Though Donphan would require fighting energy and a reliable way to switch Ampharos out, since it does have a 2 energy retreat cost.

Outragers are still a possibility for this deck. I like Kyurem for a good Landorus counter. It would take up to 40 damage attaching energy to it making its attack 60x2 for 120 for Landorus, who then in theory would also either have 20/30/ or 50 damage on it already from energy attachment. If they choose to attack Kyurem, it would OHKO Landorus for only 2 energy. So I'm wondering if 2 Kyurem would be a good addition to this deck, more so than Zekrom. Making the Pokemon line up.

4-2-4/4-1-4 Ampharos
2 Kyurem (Glaciate)
1-1/2-2 Electrode (Magnetic Draw)

4 Crushing Hammers being added in as well.
The second count could be from taking out an energy from the deck. 11 seems okay, and 8 basics seems more ideal than 6 basics.

I might try out some Enhanced Hammers since your worst match ups use Special Energy.

The worst matchup is probably darkrai imo. Since that deck rarely attaches from hand, and enhanced hammers will never help against it.

And you've got Plasma and Genosect that do even more attaching from places other than the hand. It is hit or miss, hence the suggestion for only a 2-2 split and not 4 Enhanced Hammer.
