I believe that Pokebeach forums should have a sub board under Gaming discussion where people can post action replay codes!

Thoughts????

I thought this site was firmly anti-cheats, so probably not. I don't think it would help publicity if people could cheat codes here too. Just go to like Gamefaqs or Cheatcc if you need them.

This post pretty much sums up everything. Hacking is not an acceptable practice on the forums. Besides, it's simple enough to run a Google search on cheats.

My sentiments exactly. A international and major Pokemon forum should not indulge in such activities and advocate the usage of Action Replay or Game Shark. Besides, even if we did encourage the usage of Action Replay codes, there would not be much of a use for a forum. What I am trying to say is: some may just begin posting threads containing just one code, or unknowingly re-posting a code that has already been made known, or even posting threads asking for them. Therefore, if we did allow it, it'll just be a thread with a long list of all the codes, which, as Kevin has already stated, we do not require, since it is so easy to search on Google for them. There is an infinite number of sites containing information on this. If we started our own, it'll be pathetic.

^So what your saying is famous Pokémon forums like the *link removed* are bad people for rom hacking?

...

Did I say that they are "bad people"? Someone correct him. I just said that our forum has a policy which does not support the use of such items. Read carefully.

Yes but you do not support the idea because you think they are illegal. They are not illeal and hacking them is not illegal unless you don't own the games. I found something over at Pokécommunity on what they think of fan games...give me about 10 minutes or so to find it and I will update this post.

...

I do not support it because I think it is an abuse to the game. I mean, this is such a simple game. Why do you have to cheat to win the game? What is the use of infinite rare candies for fun? How on Earth is 999 stats going to make the game interesting?

Of course, EV training is an exception, but I'd rather stick to cloning items with Pokemon for that. :F

In fan games you can't do that unless you want to spend hours tying to learn how. No one here UNDERSTANDS rom hacking. /and you don't take the time to learn about them. The Pokémon company makes a nw game like every 2 years on average. People eat the games and get bored by then bu some people make games for peoples entertainment and the games come out really good.

I have no idea what you just said.

But whatever it is...

If you don't agree with what I said, WPM has already said it himself.

Absolutely not.
THE TRIBE HAS SPOKEN.

An 'Action Replay' is not a 'Hacking device' persay. The definition of 'Hacking' is to illegitimatly gain access to something, which, in this case, would be a Gameboy. And thus, go on to change coding, etc. etc. An "Action Replay" does not change the coding. Nor does it gain access into the Gameboy in a way that falls under the category of "Hacking".

It is more like "Playing God". The worst you can do is allow yourself to walk through walls. Other than that you make Pokemon...You cannot in anyway change the gameplay, nor, coding of the actual game, or system, with an Action Replay, or a Gameshark, or any of those other 'cheating' devices. So thus, it is not 'hacking', and it is not 'illegal'.

You cannot try and get an Action Replay etc. etc. sub forum here simply because the webmaster, and, majority of the mods and admins thinks that Action Replay's and the like are "Evil" and is "Illegal".

I am not saying that I do not use an Action Replay. Because I do. But I only use it for testing purposes. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I would support the addition of an Action Replay/Etc. sub forum. But of course. It would never happen.

The only thing I ever used an Action Replay for was infinite master balls, in case I ever ran into a shiny. I'm not saying it's bad to use an Action Replay, but Pokebeach already has a reputation for the TCG, why should we add a puny sub-forum for it when you could go to whole other sites specialized in just that. I'm just saying that it's a waste of time for WPM to make a sub-forum, when you could just press File+New Window+ http://www.somerandomcheatcodesite.com. And do just that. I hope you understand me.

EDIT: LOL I just created a new website in my post.

ok mods and admins and other people sorry for the confusion your exactly right a well known site shouldnt be encouraging hacking!

Actually, Action Replay is NOT hacking at all, it's modifying the gameplay by tampering with the codes. Like for instant I added a bulk of numbers to the master code to alter the gameplay (Infinite Health,Ammo etc.).
