a little help for the new guy...

hey, im new here. im really impressed with the site and all the resources. i wish i could have got on here a long time ago, but I only recently got back in2 these. i have a kid of my own now, and i wanted to do up some custom cards for when he starts playing. ive read some faqs, and gone through some reads. i downloaded some stuff of my own already, but am having some issues, specifically with the font. what is the concensus for most- Humanist or Gill Sans Condensed Bold? Ive used both and I cant get either one to be a dead-on match. Im using MS paint right now. I need to get working on photoshop, but Ive never tried so Ill have to get on that soon. assuming your using ms paint though, can anybody tell me how to make one of these fonts be a dead-on for the pokemon card font? thats my biggest obstacle right now. appreciate any assistance. thanks for reading.

I would use Gill Sans Condensed Bold - It's exactly what the cards use. You may not be hitting it dead-on because not all parts of the card use Condensed Bold. Also, some parts of the text are with different widths, something you can't really use Paint for.

I would use Gill Sans Condensed Bold. But that's only my opinion.

if i use photoshop, i can adjust the width of the font to match the original cards? it looks like thats what fangking did in his tutorial anyway.
