I was wondering why it seems that Christian stuff always seems to get locked. Like the Christian Association was locked when there was no flamming or anything. I just want some answers.

It's because it could generate a flame war like if other religion members could dislike it and flame there.
It's not that all of us hate religion, but it might cause a flame war. Even if you all post without making any comments on any other religion, there are some who might overreact upon the site of such a clan. It's not that we want to maintain forum secularity, it's just to make our forums a friendlier place.

If there's a christian clan, there'll be an Islam clan, an atheistic clan, a Jewish clan, a Buddhist clan, a Hindu clan, and so on. Whilst I'm not trying to stereotype religious people, there are extremists, and wars will start between rival religious clans if you don't watch out. PB might get divided into different groups. It's better to try to prevent this than to clean up the mess.
Also, religions are a perfect way to influence a child's mind, if someone starts using religion as a way to trick kids or force them into doing something they don't want to (I'm talking about very young kids here, I hope you're all sane enough to do not fall for these kind of things), there will be consequences. Parents might also not really like these kind of things.
And last but not least, this is a Pokémon forum, I still don't see why people really want to make clans for other things here, especially about such controversial and delicate topics. If someone can explain to me why you'd need to make as many clans as possible about the weirdest stuff, please do...

Well I want to make a club where christians can talk and have fun without being told they are wroung about their religion. My take on the matter is that it SHOULD be allowed but if there is any flamming then it should be locked.
Yeah, I know what you mean. But the fact is we want to avoid flaming altogether, and like was previously stated if we allow a Christian clan then we'll be seeing a whole bunch of others too, and we're pretty swamped with clans as it is!
To everyone reading, this isn't due to any dislike of any religion, we simply feel it is better if discussions like this took place outside the borders of pokebeach. I'm certain there is already a website for such discussions out there somewhere, so just take the time to search for it.

Look, I'm a border line atheist/christian, thanks to my g/f. But I couldn't possibly agree more with the mods. There are a lot and i mean A LOT of people hear who are of different religions who, like or not, will be offended by your club just being here. It would also mean that (as CM stated) a club for every religion, and then there are flame wars (I start one on a daily basis at school about religion with my best friends)
You want a place to talk about Christianity and not be told your wrong? Join myspace and start a club, they allow that stuff....or better yet, make your own forum. This is a place for Pokemon lovers and people who enjoy other anime and what, and i'm not bashing your religion, but, as stated before, there are extremists. and you getting this upset makes you one of them (no offense)

Locked by someone else... But I hope you understand that we are not anti-religious. Even though I have a religion, I wouldn't want to see a clan on it. It's just a matter of keeping Pokebeach friendly for everyone. We have many members of other religions are even athiests here, so prents wouldn't like it.
