It might take quite a long time to evolve till then, unless you use Rare Candy...

They probably need a lot of energy too...

agree with Jynx...
we'll need longer time to evolve it and need more energy...
and... the card will be broken though...

Maybe for 3rd stages you could fuse two stage twos together, so you could create your own custom dream pokemon.

Rare Candy only allows Basic to Stage 2, so you'd still have to wait another turn.

Stage 3 Pokémon would not happen. Non-ex caps at 120 HP. Stage 2 Pokémon with 120 HP would gain nothing by evolving again unless all Stage 3 Pokémon were Pokémon-ex. You won't be finding some Stage 3 abomination with 160-180 HP with no drawbacks at all.

In the game, Stage 3 Pokémon are also not very feasible for most existing evolutions. They would evolve at extremely high levels, especially for Pokémon like Dragonite and Tyranitar. Their stats would be greatly increased to fit the new evolution, giving them near-uber status.

i think stage 3 is too powerful, especially to basic, it is nearly impossible to knock it out with basic pokemon :p

Stage 3 evolution cards would drastically change the game. Deck size would go beyond 60 cards, non-Pokémon-ex's HP will exceed 120 HP, more drawbacks to counter stronger Pokémon, etc. This will take the game out of being simplistic in some ways.
