Before I begin, let me first point out that this is the first story I've written. It's a story that uses my ideas I had for a Platinum Nuzlocke story that never started.

I intend for the story to be for those 13+, so there will be occasional mild swearing, alcohol and/or tobacco use or references, and some characters who may be inappropriate for those who are sensitive to characters against same sex relationships, belittle women, are cruel to Pokemon, or are very offensive overall. These are some of the traits a few characters may have to fill their antagonistic roles. They will not be extreme, though.

On that note, I also wish to warn you; if you are against people of other sexual orientations, people of other mindsets, people of religion, or people who don't believe or go against what you believe in, then this story is not one for you.

Without further ado....

CHAPTER 1
Awake

The forest was silent, still, dark. Not a single motion. Nothing was moving, or rather
everything was moving too slow to see its motion. Up in the sky, the clouds were there. No, they weren't. There weren't any clouds to begin with. Why would clouds be on the ceiling? Yes, the ceiling in this large dark white mansion. You've been here all along, heading up the stairs to the second floor. The hallway was normal, covered in images of ?? all over the walls. You looked so bizarre in them. Who is that? That's not you. That's the door to the room in front of you, the room you must enter. A pair of young skyclad men open the door to a pristine white room. It's clean, tidy, the bed is made perfectly, the shelves and desk perfectly organized. Not a thing is amiss or uneven. "Hello, Roman, Remus," a finely dressed man calmly said, "I've been waiting for you two." He stood up, putting down a book with a title in another language. "'Do you remember who I am? I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't." He walked up to the two brothers before him, taking off his pink lens glasses. "I am Erle Stephen Poe, the Psychic specialist of Sinnoh's Bismuth Pokemon League. There is a reason why I have summoned you, but I shall need to discuss that with you next time. Right now, you must--"

"Wake up, you two!!" Two twin brothers both shot up, wide awake and startled. Their
room was a typical room for a pair of teenage twins. Posters of bands, games, and movies they like plastered the walls. the floor was covered in laundry and the occasional bit of trash. The brother on the top bunk looked around the room, noticing light shining through the blinds. The bottom bunked looked at their blond haired friend standing in the doorway. His white and honey striped hoodie and golden brown cargo pants made him compliment the mostly blue room of the brothers. He wore a rather displeased expression, arms crossed and all. "Are you gonna sleep all day, or will you get off your asses and come with me to get our starters?" The brother on the bottom bunk fetched his phone from the nightstand, discovering it was only 8:17. He looked back up at his friend with his deep black eyes, scratching his head of short cut brown hair. "Marcel, it's not even 8:30! How could you get mad at us for sleeping in the morning when you had us stay up until 1 am playing games with you last night?" Marcel growled, stomping his foot on the ground. "J-just get up, would you?! And no more excuses, Remus!" Roman grabbed his phone and dropped to the floor from the top bunk. He shook his long black hair out of his face once he landed, exposing his matching jet black eyes and pierced left eyebrow. Remus crawled out of bed as well, fully dressed in a pair of nice blue plaid pajamas. Now out in the hallway, Marcel and Roman began to bicker as usual. "I'm just saying you kept us up all night," Roman argued aloud. "Well at least I don't keep my friends waiting on me to wake up!" Marcel quipped, feeling awfully steamed at Roman. "Again, you kept us up all night playi--"

"Roman Caesar Silverman!" A voice interrupted from downstairs, filled with anger. This was no ordinary anger either. This was the anger only a frustrated mother could have for her frustrating son. A son who was now paralyzed in fear. "Go back to your room and don't come back out until you have at least something on!" As he dashed back to his room, the mother rested her palm on her head in disbelief. "I swear, Remus, sometimes I feel like you and your brother are too wildly different to be related." Remus and Marcel looked at each other, chuckling a bit at the typical antics between Roman and his mom.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Now that's a breakfast!," Marcel stretched, now full from some fresh homemade
pancakes. Roman sneered at him. "It wasn't a breakfast meant for you, jerk!" Remus, on the other hand, agreed with Marcel with a nod and cleared his throat. Marcel and Roman gave him their full attention; They know that when Remus clears his throat, he's about to say something important. "We three have been together since we were toddlers. We have been dreaming of the day we could become trainers since we were 5. We went through Trainer school for 10 years. We've waited a month for our Trainer's licenses to come in. Finally, as of today, we will be official Pokemon Trainers!" He turned to face the two young men behind him with an excited smile, both of them sharing the same feelings. "Are you two ready for our lives to change forever?" With excitement filling their hearts, they simultaneously nodded with a "Yeah!". This trio of brothers and friends could not be any more excited than they were now. This was their day, their chance to make a name for themselves. This was their dream, practically their destiny. Filled with energy, the boys charged out to the laboratory of Sinnoh's best professor, Professor Darwin Charlington, who was well known for his studies on Pokemon Evolution. Many people refer to him as the Evolution Detective since he had discovered many other ways many Pokemon have been able to evolve, occasionally even discovering a Pokemon can actually evolve at all. However, to fresh new trainers, he's known best as the key to their new life.

The boys made a break for the lab, running across the town as fast as they could to
get to it. So full of energy and excitement, they couldn't help but run like they were racing an Arcanine. They made their way closer second by second, their hearts racing in anticipation of being able to meet their very first Pokemo-- "Hold it you three!" Instantaneously, Marcel was tripped, flailing his arms around in a pitiful attempt to regain his balance. In the process, smacking Roman, who fell back kicking Marcel and crashing down onto his brother. It took one second to send the whole three of them down to the ground like a trio of chopped trees. Roman, who somehow managed not to become a sad statistic flipped his hair out of the way to get a good look at their assailant. She was a young lady around their age. She wore a white beret, a black vest and tie, a white skirt, and some white boots with black stockings. She looked down at the trio, running her delicate fingers through her silky black hair. "What do you think you're doing?" Roman got up, glaring at the mystery girl. He was obviously upset about her interruption of their attempt to claim their starters. Remus was the next to recover. "Pardon me, but," Remus said patting dirt off of his shirt, "what's wrong?" The girl turned her attention towards the brown haired brother and shoved Roman out of the way. "There's no way I will allow a clan of filthy miscreant savages such as yourselves to enter the pure and pristine laboratory of our Professor!" She turned her chin up and looked away, almost as if to say she's better than them.

"Miss Angelina Johansson. You mustn't be so rude to others like that, my dear." A tall
and rather intimidating old man emerged from the building behind her. His eyes were like beacons in the shadows cast by his massive eyebrows. His deep and rough voice was like that of a beast. On top of that, his build was astonishingly muscular for his elderly age. "You three." The boys were shocked into lining up like soldiers on standby for him. "Y-yes, sir!" A moment passed with nothing said, the old man glaring down on the three like a demon. "Would you three like to receive your starters?" A moment of silence fell upon the group. "P-P-P-Professor," Angelina panicked, "a-are you sure you should give ruffians like these your precious starters?!" She looked a complete mess as the professor simply nodded at her. The boys were still trying to comprehend what was going on. Being glared at by a scary old man then politely asked something? His looks and voice really don't match his personality.

Now inside the laboratory, the three boys lined up in front of the Professor's desk. It
was really well kept and organized. It had the standard principal's desk vibe going for it, except for the 3 Pokeballs on it. Each ball had a small plate resting in front of it only designed with an elemental symbol. A tree, a flame, and a whirlpool. "You three have been chosen to become part of the new generation of Sinnoh Pokemon Trainers. You must make sure you are positive you wish to begin this life, as you will not be allowed to back out once you do. I shall not say why, as I do not wish to seem as if I am forcing you, but please be sure. If you are sure, select your starter and I will complete your orientation." Marcel looked down at the ball in front of him, sweating from nervousness. His mind began to race, trying to think of every possible reason why or why not he should become a trainer. Next to him, Roman was suffering the same fate, as he knew what happened to those who abandoned their job as a Trainer. They were hunted and arrested, their Pokemon released, and never seen again since they were deemed traitors of the region. Remus, on the other hand, was quite calm. Normally he would be the one thinking things through first, which he did. He just did it much sooner. Remus held out his hand and inched it closer to the whirlpool Pokeball until his hand was holding it firmly. The Professor nodded as the other two stared at Remus in shock, who was now examining the ball. Next was Marcel who swallowed his fears and grabbed the tree Pokeball. This left Roman on his own, feeling the peer pressure all around him. Without much of a choice left for him, he reached out and grabbed the flame Pokeball off of the desk. "I see," the Professor pulled out 3 sheets and pens and signaled for Angelina to bring him something. "Please sign these sheets and fill in the necessary information, then you will receive all the starting tools for a trainer." As the three signed the sheets, Angelina placed a mid sized suitcase onto the desk, opening it. Inside were 30 Pokeballs in their empty state, several standard issue Trainer's ID cases, and some Silph Co. Evo 4P model Pokedexes. The Professor stood up from behind his desk. "Now then, as for your orientations..."

Sorry for Ch1 being kinda... bleh. Again, first time writing a story. Also, for the record, I haven't read a fanfic in 2 years or much of a novel if any in 7. On top of that, no classes for writing so... Sorry if my story is sewn together like peanut butter and fried squid (I hope someone gets that joke).

Edit: I'm so sorry for the ugly double chapter 1 and all the bad indents and weird size changes and color changes. I've spent hours trying to fix it but it keeps reverting every time and I don't know why...

Usually awkward code comes from copying text from another location into the "rich text editor" version of the post box and/or making a lot of code changes within the rich text editor. Both of these things have a tendency to add a lot of superfluous code that messes things up in weird ways. If you're ever having code issues, your best bet is to turn off the rich text editor (using the page/wrench symbol in the upper right corner of the post button) and manually edit the code in the BB Code editor version of the post box. You can either preview or turn the rich text editor back on to see how everything looks before posting.

In the meantime, I think I've cleaned up your code issues, but you should probably double check and make sure everything looks to your satisfaction. :)

Guh. I write all that and cant think of anything else to write. This is rather irritating. Also, if I get in trouble for bumping a thread that hadn't had activity in so long, sorry.
