Unsurprising. Cut out Prism Stars, leave Tag Teams.
Ahoy a three-prize format, where you either swing for 250, or die from it immediately.

Unfortunately, a few Prism Stars will survive the rotation, leaving certain types with an advantage over others. Particularly Black Market & Wondrous Labyrinth Prism Stars I am very sad to see stay, because Chaotic Swell is still in the format and very good. The way to counter Swell is not play any stadiums, so you can do that, just hope you don't run into a dark deck playing Black Market. I really wish they would ban all of the remaining Prism Stars, not just the stadiums.

I get what you're saying. But who is really playing Dark or Fairy decks?

No Volcarona non-gx since last year's rotation of Shining legends, but as that was the rotation to UPR-on, and not this one, do you mean Volcanion Prism?

Anyway, I agree that prism stars should be banned from standard if there's no other way to single them out from the rest of TEU, if only to keep the International game as on par w/ Japan's as it can be. One striking fact: The last time any prism stars were printed was back in the Japanese SM8a and SM8b subsets, while zero prisms of any sort were printed in the Japanese SM9 set, meaning prism stars would be gone if TPCi based their standard on Japanese SM9-on rather than keeping them in when Japan doesn't)...

Then again, basing the new format on Japan's sets over making approximations and compiling a new set based on said approximations of Japan's cards for use in international markets would also mean rotating jirachi TEU(first printed in SM8a in Japan's game) with them... :(

Yes, that's totally the goal here and there's definitely not just a pattern that's being followed. You can especially see it from all of the cards that can OHKO VMAX easily they keep releasing.
