i was confused reading a random post ..

anyway, what can i actually only play during the first turn. ??

thanks in advance ~_~

Pokemon(basics) and an energy, thats basically it if you start.
If you go second you can play T/S/St,basics and an energy.
Edit:
Sorry smeow......hurray ninja....

After set up and you go first, before your opponent, you can do everything except evolve any of your pokes or play any trainers, Stadiums and Supporters. However if your opponent goes first, you may use trainers, Stadiums and supporters but neither of you can evolve any pokemon until it's your second turn.

EDIT: Ninja'd...

okay . so i am to play only a basic pokemon and attach an energy .. then no everything until the 2nd turn ..

thanks ~_~

That is correct. This is why cards like Call Energy, Cyclone Energy and the like are so vital, it is the best way to get around the "no trainer" rule on T1. Call energy is almost like a Rosanne's Research that will save your life if you go first.

No one said it, so.... You also can attack. It isn't like yugioh.

gee . thanks for the answers ..

summary:

i can only do on the first turn the ff:

play basic pokemons
attach energy
attack
use power

thanks~_~

One last thing: You can also retreat.

Not necessarily. There are times when you may start with a Uxie in your hand but you choose to lay a Crobat G or something like it. You empty out your hand then drop the Uxie to refill it. Then retreat to it and attack so you can do damage on the first turn.

Consider the situation context of the game and just use common sense. Retreating on the first turn may work if it's for a purpose.
