(1) Pre-Unova Pokedex Entries from BW2 [7/6]

Posting ones I liked:

Clefairy: On the night of the full moon, Clefairy gathered from who knows where launch into a dance. They float because they’re bathed in the moonlight.
hahah, gathering from "who-knows-where"

Clefable: Its ears are so good that it can hear the sound of a pin drop from a kilometer away. So, it generally stays in quiet places.
And I thought I had sensitive ears. Dang. Hearing everything that goes on would drive me mad.

Wigglytuff: The feel of its smooth fur is too nice for words; if you accidentally touch it you won’t be able to let go.
Cinccino's coated in grease; Wigglytuff's coated in glue. Seems legit!

Golbat: In the middle of the night it flies around energetically, pierces the targeted prey with its fangs, and sucks the prey’s blood until it dies.
And then it gets too bloated and heavy to fly. Missed you too, Golbat!

Arcanine: Many people have become fascinated with this figure, which can run a distance of 10,000 kilometers over the course of a day.
10000 km is ~6200 mi, so I guess it's safe to say that, if there was a continuous land-based path on the earth (or if Arcanine can run across water), Arcanine can circumnavigate the globe in about 4 days.

Magneton: The powered-up electromagnetic waves of 3 connected Magnemite can even dry up all of the moisture around them.
Water...WATER...

Muk: It’s really stinky! Its body is made up of deadly poison, and any plants that Muk passes over wither and die.
It's really stinky! You don't say?

Lickitung: If you’re licked by its saliva-covered tongue, you’ll prickle and go numb. When it extends its tongue, its tail retracts.
It's got a tongue extension in its tail! Oh dear.

Starmie: It emits radio waves from its core, which glows in seven colors, and sends them into space in some form of correspondence.
Starmie for World Domination

Igglybuff: If its springy, soft, and slightly sweet-smelling body jiggles once, it won’t stop.
...weird.

Espeon: It feels air currents with the fine fur all over its body, and predicts the enemy’s thoughts and the weather.
The perfect newscaster.

Pupitar: A cocoon that will abruptly release the compressed gas inside of its body and rocket around violently.
The Pupitar launched successfully! That's successful launch no. ...wait, wrong game.

Slakoth: It sustains itself by eating only 3 leaves a day. The other 20 hours are spent sleeping.
It takes four hours to eat three leaves?

Nosepass: It is always facing North. It draws nearby iron towards itself with its magnetic nose in order to fortify its defenses.
"Nosepass, use Tackle!"
"I...I CAN'T!!"
Seriously, Nosepass always perplexed me.

Aron: It eats iron ore in order to build its steel body. Sometimes it causes problems by eating rails as well.
[DERAILED]

Swablu: For some reason, it really likes to ride on top of people’s heads and pretend to be a hat.
HI SQUIRTLI

Crawdaunt: A belligerent Pokemon that will pinch every Pokemon in its scissors and hurl them out of its territory!
Exclamation point. Now it's serious.

Combee: A Pokemon 3-pack. At bedtime, 100 Combee gather and make a big nest.
I don't know why, but this makes me giggle.

Drifloon: It’s said to be a guidepost for souls. Children who’ve owned a Drifloon vanish without warning.
Stay creepy.

Bronzong: They’ve been worshiped since ancient times as Pokemon that can summon rain. Sometimes they are buried in the ground.
Use Dig and then dodge EQ with Levitate like a boss. Vibrava would be proud.

Magnezone: It emits a magnetic field that is too strong, drawing in other Magnezone and becoming completely unable to move.
Well, that's irritating. On the plus side, now Scizor is triply dead!

Gliscor: It dances in the sky without making a sound, approaches its prey, and BAM! takes out the vitals in one shot!
I love that ending.

Hey, cool. New dex entries for the bros we know and love! How--

Roserade: It lures prey with a sweet scent, then uses the poisonous whips on both arms to prick them, bind them, and bring them down.

...pleasant.

To "guy" them?
That is the funniest forum censor to date.

It's uncensored on the front page, but censored on the forums?

The pattern on its back varies by region. It often swims in the midst of a school of Remoraid.

Maybe it won't have a smile on it's back in Unova?

And too bad...I really wanted Shellos and Gastrodon to be obtainable in this games. I wanted to see new forms for them.

It's unfortunate every Pokémon didn't get a new 'Dex entry. Of course, when you've been writing entries for some Pokémon for more than 10 years it's hard to come up with new information (or even information that doesn't contradict old information, which has happened) but I always looked forward to reading the new entries when they came out. Now I guess I've gotta settle for fewer entries. (Some of the newer Pokémon could still use new entries, though, like Generation 3 and 4. I'd like to see a different entry about Arceus, even if it's something I already knew.)

"Golbat: In the middle of the night it flies around energetically, pierces the targeted prey with its fangs, and sucks the prey’s blood until it dies."

Thank god for max repels DD:

Growlithe: It’s very loyal to its trainer. If you approach it carelessly, it will bark furiously and chase you out of town.
Are Growlithes really that scary?

Pokemon just got 50% more freaky (current level 7.5%, no need to worry)
Time to 1-up the ante.

Magnezone.
Just forget about playing video games ever again.

Yanmega: It enjoys a method of fighting where it flies past the opponent at high speed, and bites off the neck in an instant.

Spoink: It uses its tail as a spring, and since the bouncing makes its heart move, if it stops it will die.
Keep it creepy, GameFreak.
