    Ruling Ho-oh ex and blend energies

    I'm wondering if blend energies (technically special energy cards) can be used to feed Ho-oh EX's (DE) energy cost for Rainbow Burn since the energy only becomes one type once it is attached to a pokemon. Can anyone confirm or disprove this? Thank you.
