Except that Donphan doesn't learn Flame Wheel, so what makes you think it has to learn Thunder Roll (presuming these rumors are true of course)?

That's what the Mega Symbol is for between the Pokémon's gender and level, to indicate it is Mega Evolved without using too much on-screen space spelling out 'Mega' in front of every name.
