Tera Dragapult ex, Palafin ex, Legacy Energy ACE SPEC from “Mask of Change” Revealed!

The ability can be blocked if it’s in your hand and you have ability lock in play. I don’t think standard has anything that blocks abilities from hand at the moment but in expanded you’d be able to evolve from hand if either wobbuffet is in the active spot or garbotoxin is in effect.

Tera Dragapult ex, Palafin ex, Legacy Energy ACE SPEC from “Mask of Change” Revealed!

Garbotoxin does if you’re evolving from hand, same with Wobbuffet because they remove abilities from hand.

“Palafin ex Box” Revealed for June with Three Brand New Cards!

Only way you could bypass this is if you’re in expanded and have wobb in the active spot, and manually evolve from hand

PokeBeach Podcast: “Pokemon TCG Pocket” Will Usher in a New Era for the Pokemon TCG!

That’s more of a skill issue though which is inherent for all TCGs. Learning how to play the actual game itself isn’t hard.

PokeBeach Podcast: “Pokemon TCG Pocket” Will Usher in a New Era for the Pokemon TCG!

I’d disagree on the difficult to learn part, especially compared to other TCGs. I think deckbuilding is much harder

Scoop Up Net Also Banned from Expanded Internationally

Beach isn’t necessarily problematic on its own but I completely understand the problem of availability as a valid reason. But realistically, what will save the format is banning cards that’ve been issues either in their own or the combos/unfair advantages they provide like Tinachomp GX...

Scoop Up Net Also Banned from Expanded Internationally

Same. Trode and Tinachomp have been issues for years now and they purposely neglected it despite being fully aware of it. Compressor is another card you can make the case for too.

Scoop Up Net Also Banned from Expanded Internationally

The fact that Japan didn’t include Compressor, Tinachomp, and Electrode is pretty sketchy tbh. Those cards have been problematic for years now and they had an opportunity to make the format healthier by at least including those but they didn’t.

Scizor ex from “Wild Force” and “Cyber Judge”

Someone got the cards early but the last ace spec is maximum belt and it lets you do +50 to Pokémon-ex.

Mist Energy, Rabsca from “Wild Force” and “Cyber Judge”

Lugia VSTAR counter for expanded (blocks both Tinachomp and Garchomp V) lmao

New Raihan and XY-Era Promos Releasing for Japan’s “Extra Battle Day” Tournaments!

Not sure what you’re talking about here. Pokémon Company made it very clear that BW/XY cards will be added in a future update when they first announced migration. Plus both Japan and the 200+ player tournament circuit that happened here in the US earlier in the month still run BW/XY+. Not a good...

He got into a feud with some guy here because he didn’t like how subjective his reviews were and that his ratings weren’t made from the perspective of someone who is actually good/experienced at the game. Then Rhyperior apparently made a threat toward that person and got banned. He made an alt...

Walking Wake ex, Iron Leaves ex, and More Revealed from “Wild Force” and “Cyber Judge!”

Flutter Mane is actually really good for decks that struggle against Wobb Stall or Wobb in general. This is a must have for Regidrago VSTAR which struggles a lot against it. Apart from that so far most of these cards have been pretty lackluster tbh. I think I could make Walking Wake work somehow...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

Latios ex and Pheromosa GX are definitely not bannable. TPCi only bans cards that have balance issues in tournaments. Neither of these cards are going to be an issue in a tournament because you’re not only never going to win with these decks, especially in BO3 format. Iron Valiant made FTK...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

Electrode GX sees play in Alolan Raichu and it still enables a lot of toxic combos. Tinachomp needs to go but sadly Japan won’t let that happen because of their blatant deck bias. As I explained, they’d rather incentivize “brain-dead” play over critical thinking. That’s why they don’t play...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

This is objectively incorrect. You can’t apply your understanding of Mew VMAX in Standard to ADP in Expanded when the latter isn’t even toxic. You don’t even need Ranger to beat ADP except if you’re playing Stall or Shadow Rider because they’re slower decks. You do understand that for ADP...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

If you read what they announced when PTCGO was sunsetting, they stated that BW/XY cards will transfer over and be fully implemented into the game eventually. No timetable has been given but they will work on it once they’ve finished polishing the client. Last thing you want are two big formats...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

There’s a funny Jirachi prism Star deck that was a meme a while ago with greedy dice and will. Wasn’t overpowered and it won’t get banned bc it’s pretty booty cheeks but still funny lol. E-Gen and E-Power exist in expanded miraidon but it’s not as overpowered as it sounds in theory.

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

That doesn’t mean that Net can’t won’t be banned internationally. Considering the lack of attention Expanded has gotten, highly unlikely. But that doesn’t change anything about the fact that if Japan had banned Tinachomp and Electrode it would set future precedent for them to be banned...

Scoop Up Net Banned in Japan!

No you don’t get it, Creatures Inc is responsible for the TCG and merchandise in Japan. If they ban Net then it will/should get banned internationally. You can’t ban a card in one region for a format and have it not banned in another, not how it works. The Expanded circuit in Japan, along with...
