Wow. Visually this set looks BORING. The SV block, from a collectors standpoint, has been so MEH! The pack arts and ETBs all look the same. I look back at XY/SM era packs/set art/ETB art, heck, even the super rare cards were better then. Wake me up when TPCI starts getting creative.. I imagine...

I too would like to secure a copy so I can give it to my niece because she LOVES Pikachu. I'm in the US though so I doubt we'll get any more opportunities to collect it naturally.

All of this artwork looks great on the mats. I especially like the Porygon, starters, and pixel options. I'm not much of a player though so none of this merchandise would benefit me. I love Gengar but I have an issue with this IR as well as another previous IR Gengar from the Sw&Sh era where there is TEXT COVERING THE MAJORITY OF THE POKEMON. WHY!!!

So much great art here.. hard to say a favorite. I love the Raichu & Alolan Raichu (can't remember the set), Roaring Moon from Paradox Rift, Alt Koraidon from SV base, Suicune from Crown Zenith, Glaceon from Evolving Skies. I wish Santa would bring me the Raichu/Alolan Raichu card for Xmas. Haha

While I agree with your sentiment, especially being a fan who has played every game. There will likely always be new fans who have never played previous games so this gives them some exposure to what they may have missed out on :)

This DLC looks really fun. I'm excited to make a fresh team and tackle the elite four using double battles! Also catching all the old legendaries? Yes please! I think I heard you can shiny hunt....
