no it wasn't? sure breakthrough & breakpoint have break in but fates collide/steam siege/evolutions all have break cards in them too and they're all still labelled XY

how was the break block distinct? it was still XY the whole time even through the ORAS related sets as well, it's just how they do it

i mean you were literally just complaining about charizard getting too much love compared to everything else so it seems strange to then say shaymin deserves it bcus it's more popular. also shaymin EX already got a special art years and years ago, there's plenty of awesome shaymin card art out there

i mean Lumineon barely gets any cards at all (this is only its 5th ever) nevermind this being its first Ultra Rare, but also it's practically guaranteed to see *way* more play than the Shaymin ever will so i think it's the best choice for an alt art from the set tbh

their only previous card is the CSR Umbreon V from VMax Climax so they are very new

so many cool & interesting cards in here and so much good art too, really looking forward to trying a lot of things from this set out!! also hopeful that research + boss being in here again means we'll be getting their new full arts already :D

well the electivire also helps the magmortar do more damage, and that damage counter can be put on the magmortar while accelerating energy to it with magma basin. also it can at least do some damage with a damage counter down unlike boltund who'd then need extra energy, so there's a lot more to...

really love the art on all of these & while i'm sceptical that they'd have enough to be viable, i feel like it'll at least be a fun deck to mess around with

while it'd still be difficult to get all the pieces together quickly enough, magma basin goes a long way to getting the energy on magmortar while also putting damage on it for electivire's attack, sure 120 isn't loads in this format but it'd clean up kills on vmax's that've been hit by magmortar...

at the very least they're also credited for the CSR Rapid Strike Urshifu VMax in VMax Climax, but the art style on those cards seems very similar to the TCG artist tetsuya koizumi, who goes by "Scav" on twitter, so i think it might just be a change of illustration name? in which case he's been...

there isn't space between the Pikachu and Barry for the three birds (#416/414 & #417/414) and you can see "421" on the Zapdos so they must come after Barry & Marnie, so maybe new Boss + Research for 416 & 417 instead?

with raikou essentially just being a lightning type suicune that opens up a lot of interesting options for it in a couple of decks, big fan of that, wonder if we'll get an entei at some point too :o

from what i've watched of the black/white meta the full art version was way less common & therefore a lot less iconic for tcg players, also imo the full art looks way worse than the regular one

Wobbuffet's attack is based on the damage counters of 1 of your benched Pokemon, not Wobbuffet itself, so couldn't it theoretically do like 300+ damage if you have a damaged VMax on the bench?
